The Way You Make Me Feel

Chapter 1

Chapter 1:

~Veronica's POV~

My scream awakes my mother. She rushes into my room to find her daughter awaking from a nightmare.

"Veronica!" She yells.

" Sorry mother, bad dream." I tell her softly.

"When will this stop V?" She asks.

"I don't know mother, whenever I can permanetly remove the memories from my mind." I say.

*Flashback*

My heart beats faster than it ever has. I don't think I have ever ran this fast before. I'm almost at my house when his arm grabs mine.

"Let go of me Damon!" I shout at him.

"Oh sweetheart, you think that it's over that easily?" He says tauntingly.

"Yes I do. Because it IS over Damon!" I yell.

"Shut the hell up already" he says softly.

He grabs my wrists and drags me down the street, to his car. He opens the door on the passenger's side and throws me in it, locking the door.

"Let me out!" I scream, knowing it won't do me any good.

He opens the door on the driver's side and gets in, locking all of the doors now.

"I believe i told you to shut the hell up." He says.

"I'm sorry, I don't believe I got the memo that you are in charge of me?!" I spit out at him.

"That tears it you worthless bitch!" He screams at me.

He punches my chin. A sharp pain shoots through my face. Another hit. This time giving me a black eye.

"Please stop Damon! Please!" I beg him.

"I don't think so." He says smirking.

That face always means trouble.

He climbs over the seats to the back and grabs my wrists. He forceably takes my wrists and pulls me back there with him. I didn't want to admit to myself what was going to happen, but I knew.

"The fun has only just begun Sweetheart." He says smiling.

That night, in his car, I was raped.

*End of Flashback*

"Honey, you will find an amazing man one day. One that will treat you the way a young lady should be treated. One that will never hit you. One that will never violate you." She says reassuringly.

"Thanks mother. I want to sleep now" I say tiredly.

"Alright dear, I love you" she says softly.

"I love you too mother." I tell her.

She kisses my forehead and leaves the room, shutting the door behind her. I hope she's right.

The next day I had school. It was a Monday. Wonderful. Luckily my classes were short today. Perks of today being Monday I guess. My best friend Jenn had already gotten to school. We walked to class together and sat down. Today in Biology, we would be put with a partner. Oh joy. We were all in our seats when Mr. Blake walked into the classroom.

"Good morning students. Today I will be assigning you a partner for the week. We are going to start an enormous project and I figured you all would want some help." He says.

I hated Biology, but I loved Mr. Blake. He always thought of us and what we would prefer as opposed to just assuming things.

"So here are you're partners." He tells us.

"Morgan and Jared"

"Ashley and Christina"

"Hazel and Augustus"

"Jenn and Connor"

"Veronica and James"

He reads the rest of the names but all the meanwhile I'm thinking to myself, "who the hell is James?"

"Alright guys, move to sit with your partners."

I get up and Rome around the classroom until everyone is seated, accept for me. There is only one available seat. And this seat is located beside the most beautiful pair of eyes that I have ever seen.
