I pulled out my pen and started to write.

I'm so bored. We've been on this plane for like, hours. I can't wait to get off and smell the fresh air.

I felt my brother, Xiomar, lean over to peek at what I was writing.

"Hey," I said, quickly closing my journal, "how long have we been on this plane?"

He pulled out his watch, glanced at the time, and said, "Ten minutes."

"Ah," I whined, obviously bored.

"What? You bored already?" he asked, laughing.

"What does it look like? Immortality can sometimes be so boring!" I got a few glances from loading strangers, and then I realized I had said it too casually.

Xiomar leaned in, and said, "You excited to see..." his voice trailed off.

"I - I don't know. We haven't seen them in like, what, two hundred years? That's a long time for... teenagers." He gave me an understanding look.

"I know what you mean. We've changed so much."

"Attention all passengers, we are preparing for takeoff, so please watch the flight attendant explain how to use the safety features of Flight 377."

Using my super-vision, I could see every pore on the flight attendant's face. Tone down the makeup. You might look good in human terms, but you look like a clown to a vampire. I thought of my family as she demonstrated the usual crap.

Xiomar is correct. We have changed. What will they do? Will anyone else be there? Oh my God... My thoughts ventured virtually everywhere as I waited for the flight to get started. I waited until the plane started to take off to talk again.

"Xiomar, I'm nervous." I admitted.

"I am as well." He said, looking straight ahead.

"Have anything fun to do to pass the time?" I asked.

"Nope."

"Have anything to talk about?"

"Nope."

"Have any food?"

"Nope."

"Excuse me," the flight attendant said, "would you like a beverage?" I looked away, not sure about what to say to clown-face.

"We would like, some... peanuts, please?" Xiomar said. The flight attendant looked at him, with a certain longing. When around a vampire, humans tend to become... hormonal. They just seem naturally drawn in by the good looks and the sweet smell that surrounds us. We were the first to get our peanuts. I scarfed mine down, barely helping the gnawing feeling in my gut. If it is from nervousness or the fact that I haven't had any blood recently, I don't know. Xiomar gave me a weird look, and he immediately understood.

"Haven't been feeling well, have you?" He asked, truly concerned.

"Not really, city blood always makes me feel weird." I replied, thinking. Maybe it is because I'm a foreign vampire, or maybe it has to do with cities are a much harder place to get food. Yeah, there are a lot of people, but... it is kind of hard because people notice when there are holes in their necks, and people get worried when their friends go missing. I absolutely refuse to get laid by a human because I need a meal.

I'm a four-hundred year old vampire, and I've still not had a first kiss, and I'm still a virgin. It's not that complicated. I'm saving myself for my future mate, if I have one. I laid my head against the window and watched as the cities below swiftly moved past. I closed my eyes, and fell into a Vampire Slumber.
