Luke P.O.V
"I need you to get the job done and get it done right. I don't want anything leading back to me, do you understand?" The guy gave me a raised eyebrow.
"You and I both know nothing in this world is free. So where is my money?" The man's stiff face made it clear he wasn't in the mood for games.
"Twenty thousand now and twenty thousand when the job is done. Don't fuck up Evan." I placed the envelope filled with twenty thousand in his hand.
"Trust me, Michael will be dead by the end of the week."
Michael's P.O.V
"Ruby, I need you to get everyone you have ready." Calum, Ryder and Ashton sat beside me in Ruby's office.
"Ready for what?" She puffed smoke from her cigar.
"To take down luke. He's planning on killing me and we have to get rid of him before he can." I grabbed Ryder's hand.
"What do I get in return?" She placed the cigar in the ash tray.
"The satisfaction of helping a friend." I gave her a forced hopeful smile.
"I knew Luke before I met you so what makes you think that you just simply asking for my help means I'll give it to you?" She leaned forward intertwining her fingers on the desk.
"Fine. What do you want?" I sighed causing her to immediately smirk.
"I want to make an unbreakable deal." She patted the cigar against the bowl on her desk, removing the ash.
"What is the deal?" Unbreakable is a word that no one wants to hear when it comes to certain deals and knowing ruby, this is one of them.
"I like the way Ryder works, she's smart and good at getting information." Ruby inhaled from her cigar before continuing. "But thats also a bad thing. I just met her and i trust her which is something I've never done, not even with people I've known since i was a child." Ruby stood to her feet before walking over to Ryder and crouching down in front of her. "I dont know what it is about you, but i need whatever it is. It will be a great addition to my gang." I couldnt take anymore of this
"Nope, absolutely not." I stood to my feet before grabbing Ryder's hand and standing her up.
"If you turn down this deal i will not only not help you with Luke but i will also stop helping with Jonah." She shrugged before crossing her arms and leaning against her desk.
Why Ryder? Why does it seem like no matter what I do to keep her out of harm's way a new person comes along and brings a new issue. Yeah jonah was partially my fault but why did she have to sleep with him. I know that she didnt know he killed eliana but that doesn't make it any better, she's still my wife.
"Will my family or I be put in any danger?" Ryder asked, cutting off my train of thought
"No danger at all because it wont just be your family." I could tell Ryder was as confused as I was
"What do you mean?" She smirked once the words left my mouth.
"Your gang no longer exist. You cannot handle your own problems and you constantly need to ask for help which is a sign of weakness. You should have never had kids, they messed you up. At one point I was proud of you, I felt like you had made something, made an empire almost as strong as mine. But like all good teachers I knew at some point you would make a mistake." Ruby looked over at Ryder. "She was yours. She distracted you, you started a family and lost your power. You let people who are not even on your level think they could take over." She took a drag from her cigar. "So I am taking your gang back." I raised an eyebrow with pure confusion
