“LETS GO ALEX, PUSH YOURSELF. YOU THINK YOU’RE GOING TO EVER LOOK GOOD WITH THAT LITTLE EFFORT? HAH, YOU LITTLE WIMP. IS THAT ALL YOU’VE GOT? “ My coach screams into my ear as I repeatedly jab my punching bag. Normally I yell back, but I just want to punch something and if I put any more attention on him, it’ll be him that im fighting. Something tells me that wont be pretty. So I just keep jabbing and kicking the band full of sand infront of me. I flip my jet black hair out the way and keep going at it. Eventually my coach tells me to stop and to do 20 push ups and sit ups which will finish our workout. I rapidly do those and pack my bags and go out the door again. Taking the bus, I reach my house and empty my bag of dirty laundry. I do this quietly, due to the fact my family is still asleep and I’d hate to wake them up. I empty out the bag completely and sit at the edge of my bed when I realize, I still have the ache in my shoulders and the fire in my heart. I grin at the realization that I can still work out. I quickly change into some new clothes, put on my new track shoes, and go out the door, running to the nearby park. I reach the park and just stand there, admiring the environment. Throughout the park you can see a cement trail used for exercise and all around it are trees. On the right side there is a forest that appears to have a floor made out of vines which wrap around the logs of the trees. Meanwhile on the left there are tennis courts where there are dozens of white people playing tennis. Meanwhile straight ahead there is a dried up lake which must have used to have water, but has been dried out. I follow the ashen cement path and begin to jog. As the path curves around the lake, I can see inside the tennis courts and I see a group of teenagers. “Ugh. People. I don’t even want to look at anyone.” I think to myself and I begin to sprint at full speed along the path until I reach the playground about 2 minutes later. The playground is a normal playground that has a type of bench area where people can have parties. I decide to take a break at the bench area when I see my friend Nick. Nick is shorter than me, so about 5’2, curly jet black hair, and a muscular complexion. He’s always been like my role model so I’d always talk to him, angry or now. But it’s too late now as he also notices me and begins to skateboard toward me. We high-five and I tell him I’ll meet up with him later because im on a jog. “Nah man, it’s cool. I’ll just skate alongside you? “ I nod my head in response. We begin to jog when all of a sudden a female calls out Nick’s name. “NIIIICKKKKK.” We stop in shock and see a random brunette wearing a tank top and short shorts run over to Nick. She almost tackles Nick in a hug while I just stand there, cracking up. A group of people walk, following the brunette who I now know is called Maddie. The group is composed of random people just joking around the entire time. They introduce themselves but I’m not paying attention. Stupid ADHD. By the time I can focus on them again, the last person is introducing themselves. I think I have some faint recognition of who they are, but I can’t remember off the top of my head.
These people, a black man who appears to like making fun of “ratchet people” is the funniest. I think he introduced himself as Juan? On his side is a quiet girl, also black, who seems to be really shy. Her name is Tierra. Hm, I’ll keep that in mind. Then, next to her are two guys who seem to have known each other for a while; Nick and Jaymes. But they’re running? Ohhh, they’re chasing a girl. She introduced herself as…. Emily. “These people make me want to be myself. They make me feel safe, as if anything happens, they would protect me. “I think to myself. My thoughts get interrupted as another girl walks up behind Juan and immediately joins in their conversation. A girl with red hair, a skinny complexion, but still has curves. She has brown eyes, and is wearing almost a detective robe but it’s more of a cardigan. She tops it off with a random black hat. Her fashion sense just is so random. Yet, she makes it work. She’s obviously also one of the group, but dang…. Her red flaming hair immediately catches my attention until I look a bit lower and see her smile. I immediately feel some sensation in my chest. I really do hope I haven’t fallen for her already. What would I tell Andromeda? I’ve been going out with Andromeda for 6 months but it doesn’t feel like a relationship. Ugh that’s a conflict for another day. For now I just want to meet this mystery girl in front of me. I go over to Nick and point out the Fire head girl. “Hey Nick, who is she?” He chuckles already knowing my intention.
“That’s Anna.”
