My life had been been a story of complete sorrow, with every wake came along a new struggle; I had suffered regular mistreatment from my parents.
Being the older sibling, my parents only cared for my younger sister, as sweet as she was and as innocent, she had always stood aside and listened from outside my bedroom door as my cowardly father took it upon himself to beat me for even the minority of things.
My mother was no better, although she had never laid a finger on me, she would constantly offer her silent support for my father as he would almost aimlessly knock his fists against me and my mother would stand aside and silently watch.
It would be in my best of intrest to go to school, where for me, peace and quiet reigned. I had never been familiar with my classmates in any lessons and had always kept to myself, I didn't talk to anyone at all, I had no intrest in taking part in any school drama or anything like that.
School was a constant escape for me, a chance to take a break from my parents and to avoid my little sister, she however, was OK but I never did give her a glance unless she would approach me at lunch time and ask me if I was doing ok.
Time had passed and I was moving up the years, year 9 was a fairly mild year for me, although I had made a new friend or two, I was still comfortable being alone. Year 9 was also the year everything had changed for me.
I saw one of my classmates, a boy who irritated me, he was loud and rude. He was walking with a girl in a completely different uniform, I examined her completely for a moment with no real words, until I saw her face.
I immediately fell in love, she seemed so perfect, she was gorgeous, she had a pretty smile which stood out to me compared to the entire playground, her hair was swinging behind her and she marched with the boy into the building on the far side of the school.
I wasn't sure when she had left but I didn't see her around for the rest of the day, which was truly disappointing. I thought about her all day, on my way home, totally forgetting about what was to come when I got home.
However, I seemed to of gotten lucky enough to be able to go a day without an issue with my parents, for the entire evening into the night I pondered about the new girl and wondered what I can do to get her attention.
