"You need to learn to control your animal urges!" My mother shouted.
"I'm sorry. Sometimes I just can't help it. In my defense, she did turn into a rabbit, rabbits are the main prey of foxes."
"I guess I can understand." She sighed, "When I was your age I was still getting used to city life."
"Come on mom!" I said, "Tell me one of your childhood stories!"
I loved listening to my mother's stories. They were so different from what I was used to. When she was 6 she had to move to the city. Her forest got chopped down and harvested for the human's sake.
"When I was five, I caught my first rabbit. Oh it was wonderful! I swear it was like the bunny just leaped into my mouth."
"Mom? Sorry to interrupt your story, but Gumball and Darwin were wondering if I could go over to their house."
"Oh. Oh of course sweetie! I'm glad you are starting to make friends despite the accident."
Honestly, so was I. The whole thing made me seem like a monster. I feel like everyone was looking at me afterwards and talking about me behind my back.
"Yeah. I guess I should make up with that Penny girl. She seemed so forgiving." I replied.
"Yes you should. Buy her a gift, take her to the mall, do something that will make her understand." My mom demanded.
"I can do that. I heard she was on the cheer team, maybe I could get her some Pom poms or something."
"Good. Now then, off you go to your little friend's house."
