I don't really talk to people. I'm what you would call a loner. I keep to myself. Keep quiet. I'm just trying to get through school as fast and peaceful as possible. Mostly because I don't like people. Partially because I'm afraid to get close to people. My name is Kaiden Garcia. I'm 14 and in the 8th grade. And I couldn't be happier to get out of this place. Middle school. Middle school sucks. Like, a lot. Everyone's moody and they all need boyfriends or girlfriends and it's all too much stress and work. And the teachers suck, but that's because the students suck even more. "Mr. Garcia put that phone away or it's mine." My teacher said sternly, glaring at me from her desk. I sighed sliding my phone in my pocket and looking at the work sheet she had passed out. Having a phone diary is pretty lame, but it's safer than having an actually diary. "Oh. Ahem, class, may I have your attention please." My teacher said standing up, shooting me a dirty look. She didn't really like me. After my fifth time getting my phone taken away I called her pepperoni nips and lemme tell you she did not like that. I looked to the front of the room, an noticed a new kid. A weird new kid. Long ass hair, lemme tell ya. This kid had a small pony tail holding their bangs up and their hair reached just above their ass. And this kid looked like they hadn't slept in days. Had huge bang under their eyes. And, the reason I've been using they and their, I couldn't tell what gender they were. Super flat chest, but fuckin' Shakira hips. And the hair made it harder to tell. I was leaning towards girl, skinny jeans and a big baggy sweater kinda says girl. "Everyone, this is Shannon Martinez." The teacher said gesturing to them and they just looked down. Someones hand immediately shot up, and I knew why. "Yes, Ken?" She huffed, her smile dropping. "If your name's Martinez, why're you so pale?" He asked. Classic Ken. Asking the most retarded things since 2016, when I first met him. Probably asked and said stupid things before then, but fortunately I was not around to hear such stupidity. They went totally red, and I think actually teared up. "Ken, just because Martinez is a bit of a Latin name, doesn't mean he has to be Latin to have it." She hissed touching Shannon's shoulder delicately. Boy. Ok then. Immediately every boy squeaked, "He?!" very loudly. "Yes. Now, go sit by Kaiden. Kaiden, raise your hand so Shannon knows who you are." She said, then left the poor boy at the front to be stared at, until I rose my hand and he bolted to the empty seat next to me. He was crying. Lovely. He just sat with his head down, sniffling. It was obvious that he was trying to stop. "You... Ok..?" I asked quietly. I may hate people, but I still have a heart. And I don't have a good reason to hate this guy. "Just fine. I'm fine, don't worry." He said quickly wiping his eyes and looking up. We made slight eye contact before he looked down at his hands. I pulled out my phone and quickly opened my diary. Ok. I don't really like people. But wtf this guy has beautiful eyes. And being up close, his hair looks so soft, and pretty. I wanna touch it. And he's too skinny. I want to feed him. Wtf is this? How can a boy, this boy of all people, be the only person I ever found attractive in any way? Fucking teenage hormones. Taking another look, maybe more than just hormones. He's really cute. "Kaiden, phone, now." I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard her say those three words. I sighed and gave her my phone. "Dammit." I huffed crossing my arms. Then I felt something press against my arm. A phone. Not mine. I looked up to see Shannon looking at the phone. "Wanna use mine? I never use it, so if you want, you can use mine until I talk her into giving it to me." He whispered. "Wait, what?" I asked, this guy was confusing. He looked me in the eyes. "Well, I... You haven't made fun of me. And I... Maybe you'd like your phone... I don't know, do you wanna use mine or not?" He asked nervously. "I... I'm good..." I said quietly. He nodded and walked to the teacher's desk. Words were exchanged, he was given a paper and he came back. "Here." He said dropping my phone in my lap. Then went to working on his work sheet. "Oh, and hide your phone better. I don't wanna get in trouble for taking from the teacher on my first day." He said looking over at me. "Thanks..." I whispered. He smiled slightly, then went straight back to frowning. This guy? Till graduation? Fuck. This was gonna be a long rest of the year now.
