RESTART: 2nd Chance

The beginning

Current year~ 2010
As any other day you came home from school at around 5:40 pm. Your parents weren't home yet, meaning you were the only one home since your sister Angelina (28) was still working, your brother Lucas (26) already moved out and your other brother Joshua (23) is still in the university.

Angelina works as a baker/pastry chef, Lucas is a carpenter and Joshua studies Mathematics. 

You were really happy you were the only one home so you could at least finish your homework in peace. But as soon as you got the first sheet done you could already hear your father screaming from downstairs.
Father:" Y/N COME TO THE LIVING ROOM RIGHT NOW!"
You ran down the stairs almost tripping over your own feet. As you were in the living room you could already see your father with an angry expression.
Father:" Y/N what did I tell you about going out with friends without telling me beforehand?"
You:"I'm so---"
You couldn't even finish your sentence before he slaps you. You just stand there fighting back the tears once again thinking about how you could escape this monster. But of course he wouldn't let you go so easily. He held you with one hand and beat you up with the other one.

As soon as you heard your mothers car drive into the garage your father stopped beating you up and told you to clean up the blood on the floor and immediately go up into your room.
You did as told since you didn't want anymore bruises than you already had even though no one would even notice if there's one more.

As your whole family ate dinner your father behaved like a lovely father again. Always asking Angelina and Joshua how their day was. Nobody knew your father was abusive except your best friend Eun-Jae.

You first met when you were 4 and he was 6 years old he was spending his holidays with his parents in Switzerland. You were playing together on the swings and on the monkey bars. You were best friends with him after only 1 day of playing together since you understood each other very well and had a lot of similarities.

Back to the story~~~
He was the only one you told about your father since he accidentally once witnessed your father hitting you.

After dinner you went back up to your room and texted Jae (nickname) about today.
You texted for hours until you had to go to bed.

Next morning in school~
You were always really quiet in school and never really rose your hand when the teacher asked a question since you feared you would be punished. You also always made sure your bruises were covered or unable to see. Despite being the shy, quiet one in class you were the top student but nobody knew since your parents wanted your teacher to not tell anybody, well only your father but your mom can't say anything against him because he is really stubborn.

You sat down next to your best friend Vanessa and talked for a bit until the class begun. 
Lunch time~~
Everyone went home to go eat lunch and you were waiting with Vanessa, Rebeca, and Gentijana for their bus. As the bus finally arrived you hugged everyone and went to the company building of your grandparents. (parents of your mom. The parents of your father already died when you were barely 1 year old) You ate together with your grandfather and started to do some of your homework. Your grandparent own one of the biggest companies in Switzerland and later one of your brother will take over the company or maybe even you or your sister if your grandfather wants that.

Grandfather: "Are you still into art Y/N?"

You: "Yeah, I've been thinking about studying art after school but I'm not sure yet."

Grandfather: "Oh that's great but didn't you want to study astrophysics later or did you change your plans?"

You: "Yeah well I'm actually still not sure. Because the university where i can study physics is really expensive compared to the art university and my father said he won't pay my university bills."

Grandfather:"I'll pay it for you!"

You: "No, I don't want you to waste your money for me."

Grandfather: "For you it's never a wasteful investment sweetie. And don't think of any excuses because I've already decided."

You: *sigh* "You're the best grandpa! I love you!!!"

Grandfather: "I love you too sweetie."

As you finished all of your homework your grandfather called his driver and sent you back to school.
Your grandparents were some of the most important people in your life together with your brothers and Jae.
Your sister was always mean to you and talked bad about you, your mom was never really home and when she was she had no time to look for her daughter and i think i don't need to talk about your father...

After school~~ you went home together with your friends by bus and immediately ran into your room since your father was already at home.
This evening he was still working so you had a break from his insults and beatings.
You texted Jae and drew some sketches and went to Joshua's room and you played video games together until late night. But that wasn't a problem since it's weekend anyways.
