The Regretted Chance

"Jane is that you? How are you?"

Wow! after a year since he deceived me, he has the guts to ask me how am I doing?! The Eff man!!

"What do you want?"

"Look I just want to talk with you. Just for a few minutes. Please?"

I will not lose anything if I talk to him right?

"okay" I said coldly.

My name is Jane Trinidad. 20 years old. I'm a college student at PNU. And the guy that I'm talking to is John Matthew Geronimo. He is my ex-boyfriend.

"Look Jane I'm really sorry. I know I've been such a jerk before. I'm only a guy. I have my needs. I wasn't able to control it because I was tempted. I'm sorry. I already regreted what I've done. I hope you could give me a second chance please. I can't imagine my life without you."

I want to cry. I also miss him. I want to give him another chance. I wish that I won't regret my decision. He was my first love, first boyfriend and first kiss.

" Okay I'll give you one last chance. But if you failed. I'll make sure that you'll regret it."

"Yes! Thank you Jane. I love you."

"I love you too Mat."

It's been four months since I welcomed him again. We were very happy. I'm so happy that we're together without any any problems.

But boy I was wrong.

One day, I decided to surprise him in his condo unit. I was about to enter his condo (since I have a spare key to his unit), when I heard moans inside. I thought it was only his Best Friend and his new girl. But I was shock to see Mat kissing a girl.

I felt my knees were about to break. I can't believe it. I can't belive that I'm regretting the chance that I gave to him.

"How dare you two! I thought you changed Mat! I hate you! I thought you could control yourself again!" -me

"Jane I'm sorry. She was the one who gave intentions." -Mat

"Oh. So now it's me? YOU were the one who came to me and gave your INTENTIONS!" -slutty girl

"I KNEW IT! I THOUGHT YOU CHANGED MAT! That's it!! WE'RE THROUGH! I GAVE YOU ANOTHER CHANCE BUT YOU WASTED IT!" -me

"Jane wait" -Mat

I ran very fast before he could catch me. It hurts so much. I ran to the bridge near the building where his unit was.

I want to die. I couldn't take it any longer. I was about to jump when I heard a voice.

"Miss don't jump!"-guy

"Why do you care? You don't even know me!" -me

"Miss. Even though I don't know you, it hurts me to see a girl crying. Girls aren't born just to cry. Life is good. But sometimes problems come our way and try to break us apart. But what we don't know is that the problems were designed to make us stronger." -guy

I admit. That makes sense. I cried again. But before I could fell on the bridge, I felt two strong arms that caught me before I could say goodbye to this world.

"Miss if you have any problem, you could talk to me. I could be your friend. I know this sounds absurd because I just only met you. So, can we be friends?"-guy

It doesn't sound so bad.

"Okay. By the way, I'm Jane. Jane Trinidad."-me

"Migz. Miguel Concepcion."-guy

Migz and I became friends for three years before he courted me. We got into a relationship 6 months after that.

"Jane come on. Let's go to the church. Everybody's waiting for you."

Yes, you read  it right. Migz and I are getting married after being in a relationship for seven years. Of course everyone is invited. Including Mat. I'm so happy that I've had my Happy Ever After.

Maybe I didn't regret giving Mat a second chance because in return I have Migz as my partner for life.
