Travis valkrum wasn't the slickness boy in his teenage years. He was still this dork with a skinny frame and his adorable persona, which made people walk all over him. But since high school was practically over he felt relaxed and carefree except for today. Today was different.

Katelyn- a very beautiful but rough around the edges girl with many admirers and friends came over to his house to watch a movie, His little heart was somersaulting. He could barely breathe without feeling self-conscious. But he gathered courage in the mirror, a self pep talk. He grinned. Then frowned, should he change his shirt he thought?

He was so adorable, so fragile and so easily taken for granted.

The knock at the door had sounded and he had raced for it. He opened the door, hiding behind it slightly, peeking out.

"Hey Dork, I brought the movie," Katelyn exclaimed happily.
The nickname was friendly from her wide grin.

"The others couldn't make it, their spending time with their families for the school holidays. So it's just you and me!" She strolls through the door.

"Sure I can't wait," He seemed to stutter when in terror, and let's face it, Katelyn terrorised his poor little soul to no end.

Katelyn is running into the kitchen, to grab the popcorn most likely and of course she always brought the chocolate.

He picked up the movie that had been placing face down on the bench. His heart skipping at the iconic sappy romance. Something that on usually movie night would be banned.

"Uh, kit-kat?" Travis asked trying to sound happy and not terrified.
An all too familiar groan escaped her mouth as she popped the popcorn in the microwave. She turned around waiting patiently.

"You brought the notebook?" He said, the iconic movie for sappy romance popping up in his head, he had seen the trailer.

"Wait, no it's-" pausing as her eyes skimmed the front.

"Ahh shit!" Katelyn said almost hysterical expression.

"I thought I had got the other one," She said in thought.

"Eh, I was told it was crappy," She said dismissively.

"But how did I get that and not-" She looked down to the bag that had Kacey, written in sharpie.

"Wrong bag, Kacey's girlfriend was the one with the movie, he had got it for her," She exclaimed.
She sighed through her nose.

"Don't worry about it," Travis said face going beat red.

"Yeah," She said, grabbing out the popcorn.

We got some blankets and pillows and turned on a movie on Netflix. It was extremely slow, so Travis went to check the internet. He realized it was extremely slow and a storm was quite literally blaring outside. He quickly shut all the windows and doors. The lights began flickering, so he had quickly gone to gather some candles.

"Travis?" Katelyn's soft tone said as she reached for his hand.
The lights had finally gone off and everything was dark. Katelyn gripped tightly at his sleeve.

"Hmm, board games?" Travis asked trying to remain calm.

"Yeah," She grinned looking slightly terrified.
