And that's where I see her, ready to jump off the tallest mountain I've ever seen. "Tinsley!" I scream like I've never screamed before, the winds almost cut me off but I scream right through them, screaming until my vocal chords are raw and ready to explode and my lungs are burning out. I see her twitch through the tears of my eyes, she goes to turn around but stops halfway. She decides against looking back at me, and steps off the peak of the mountain, more gracefully than I've ever seen her do anything. I take off, running and climbing the steep incline, running through this snow feels more like walking through mud. I'm almost to the spot that she was before she jumped, and I decide to run off the mountain as well. I run to the edge, but I've never been as brave as Tinsley, and this is proven by my feet sliding to a halt right before what I think is the deepest plunge in the world. Immediately I drop to a sitting position for the winds start tempting me to jump. I've never seen anything so scarring, I can barely contain myself, I can't make sense of anything, my thoughts and emotions have all frozen along with the rest of the mountain. All that I can think to do is scream, and scream and scream. So I do, until I drop onto my back, with only the ability to udder a whisper. I stare into the sky, which in my mind has become terrifying and cruel, as has the rest of the world. The world for me has turned cold, and not just because I'm accumulating hypothermia on top of a mountain. I lay there until I'm too cold to stay awake, and I'm buried half-alive by the raging winds and snow.
