"I told you she wasn't fast enough!" Brandon breathlessly yelled back at Christopher, his brother.
Christopher came up behind Brandon collapsed on his brothers shoulder in a lifeless heap. His lungs burned and he could barely catch his breath, somehow he managed a hearty laugh, "I don't know why she thought she could win." He breathed.
Brandon smiled in agreement, "Especially against me! I said I'd win and I did. Not like you were a challenge Christopher."
Christopher lifted his head slightly, he looked ar his brother with slight jealousy. His brother was bigger and older by a year, it wasn't like his own little legs could compete with that of his sibling. He took in a few deep breaths before speaking, "Wait till I get older! Then I'll beat you!"
Brandon rolled his eyes at Christopher's positivity , "Haven't you learned yet brother?"
"What?"Christopher asked.
With a swift movement Brandon moved the shoulder that was supporting his brothers head and Christopher fell helplessly to the ground. Christopher looked up at Brandon from his place in the dirt with a scowl and balled fist. Brandon looked down at him with a smirk, "I always win."
Christopher stood up and stared at his brother with a grin, "Prove it." He said and brought up his fist.
"Heeeeeyy!" A small voice called from behind the boys. Brandon looked over Christopher's shoulder and laughed. Christopher raised his eyebrow and slowly turned around.
Before them stood a little girl around eight years old like them with a dirtied pink dress and her hair hung down her face in sweaty ringlets. Christopher smirked at her and Brandon walked forward and rested his elbow on Christopher's shoulder while they both stared at her.
The girl frowned and put her hands on her hips, "You guys suck." She said.
Brandon laughed, "I won."
"Wow you look...bad." Christopher chuckled.
The girl smirked and reached down and grabbed a handful of dirt. The brothers' heart stopped and their eyes became wide with fear.
"Lia!" Brandon warned, "Don't!" Christopher added.
Lia smiled and threw the dirt straight at the brothers.
***Seventeen Years Later***
Brandon.
The music blasted in my ears, and the lights bounced heavily around the crowded club. My eyes ran across the dance floor looking for possible prey, so far nothing. I sighed and took a break from girl scouting and looked to my left at my brother who held a glass of hard vodka in his hand. I shook my head with a smile.
He chuckled, "Don't judge me."
"No ones judging you Christopher." I said and turned my attention back to the dance floor where an attractive blonde kept her eyes on me. She eyed me with lust as she shook her hips and flipped her long hair. I smiled at her just to let her know I was interested.
"What the hell are you waiting for?" Christopher asked. I looked over at him to see him with an annoyed expression on his face.
"You'll see." I smiled, he rolled his eyes and took another swallow of vodka before letting out a low hiss.
Christopher didn't understand what I was waiting on, but I know what I'm doing...I've done it so many times, I'm a pro. I looked back to the girl and saw her walking my way. She bit her lip and eyed me seductively before pausing in front of me.
