I slipped through the small gap of the door, out of my current living space. I wasn't sure who was awake at this time, but I was pretty sure the chefs are up cooking something delicious for everyone to eat.
I tried to pass by Ty's and Calibur's room as quietly and quickly without waking them up.
Once I made it to the stairs, I went back to walking as a normal person would instead of looking like a creepy person, like those you see in animated movies as they try to steal stuff from people, and preferably a rat looking type of guy, with a top hate and coat.
As I stepped off the stairs and took a turn to head for the kitchen, I found Cyan asleep in the little nook that's under the stairs.
"Cyan?" He had his eyes open, unblinking, like a dead person. I got on my knees and started shaking him. I placed my head on his chest to listen for a heart beat.
I began to freak out when I didn't heart a beat in that same second. I should have probably waited a few more seconds to get a good response but it was early in the morning, I just woke up a few minutes ago, and I wasn't in the proper mind. I'm never in the proper mind when I have barely woken up. It takes a while for me to become aware of my surroundings.
Tears start to spill out my eyes, cascading down my cheeks like a river. I pull my phone out, ready to dial 911 when someone called out to me.
"Everly," Cal asked unsure if he was seeing me or someone else that looked similar. He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, blinking a few times to get his vision straight. "What are you doing up this early?"
"Calibur!" I looked up to him to help me now. "I don't know what's going on, but-"
"Why are you crying?" He looked frantic.
"I don't think Cyan is breathing," I sobbed out.
"What," annoyance flashed in his eyes for a brief moment before they looked shocked, and worried? He rushed down the rest of the steps, kneeling next to me. Doing the exact same things I did.
"Cyan, wake up!" Calibur shook his shoulder. He shook him so hard Cyan's whole body began shaking too. But still, no response.
I turned back on my phone, dialing the three numbers as fast as I could when Calibur stood up, hunched over Cyan, and slapped him so hard it echoed through the living space.
"What the heck," Cyan looked around. "That freaking hurt!"
Both my eyes and Cal's looked at him in shock.
A sob racked out throughout my body until it came out. I was a trembling, blubbering mess, but I didn't care. I hugged Cyan like my life depended on it. I crushed him against me, tears falling from my face onto his shirt.
"Don't ever do that to me again," I pulled away, hitting him on the chest before pulling him back in.
Cyan seemed confused as to what was going on until Calibur explained to him what he saw and what I told him. After that, Cyan apologized for scaring the life out of me, and finally returned my hug.
I told him it wasn't his fault, but that he should wear a night mask to cover his eyes if sleeping like that is normal for him so what happened today won't ever happen again.
After such a crazy morning, I clung to Cyan's side. Following everywhere he went. And if he had to go to the restroom I would wait for him outside the door. Which he didn't feel comfortable with but when he was telling me, he took one look on my face and didn't finish what he was about to say.
This went on until we had to get ready for our trip to Disney. I didn't want to let him go but he insisted that I should go get ready, while he does too. Then we could spend the time hanging out together at Disney.
