Pipers POV
"Are you sure you'll be okay?" Matthew sat on my bed as I got dressed to go to dinner with Cameron. He was sitting facing the wall since I still didn't want him seeing me.
"I think I can handle myself." I said while pulling on a light brown cardigan over a floral top. I yanked and jumped into my dark wash skinny jeans that were impossible to get on over my annoying big butt.
"If you say so."
"Okay you can turn around now." I said looking at myself in the long mirror on the bathroom door.
Matthew came up from behind me and rested his head on my shoulder. "Call me if you need anything." His voice sounded sincere and sad that I was leaving.
"Don't worry. I'm yours." I turned my head and kissed him on the cheek.
His cheeks flushed and he smiled that smile that made my insides melt.
There was a knock on the door and when I checked the peephole I saw Cameron in a pair of jeans and a black t-shirt.
"I'll see you later." I said to Matthew while opening the door.
"Bye." He responded solemnly.
I shut the door behind me and joined Cameron in the hallway. "No funny business ok?" I reminded him.
"Right. You're paying right?" He paused to look at my confused face. "Kidding."
We walked into the elevator and Cam pressed the floor one button. "Where are we going anyways? I asked.
"There's this great Chinese restaurant down the street." He answered as we walked out of the elevator.
We arrived at the restaurant and were quickly waited and shown to a table. Luckily it wasn't that busy so we didn't have to wait.
We chatted and ate and everything just seemed, right. I noticed Cam attempting to flirt a couple of times and casually changed the subject.
After we finished eating we got ice cream cones and decided to go for a walk on the beach.
"Thanks." Cameron whispered to me.
"For what?" I asked while taking off my flip flops and shoving them into my shoulder bag. I dug my toes into the smooth sand.
"For giving me a second chance." He shrugged at me.
I stopped walking and turned to look at him. "Cam. This doesn't mean were back together. I still don't remember you and Matt and I sort of have something." I felt terrible about the words that had just slipped from my grasp.
"Oh." His smile drooped. "Yeah no duh, of course were just friends."
"Look at the sunset!" I quickly changed the subject.
"It sure is pretty. Just like you." He responded.
I fell silent for the rest of the walk back. We arrived at the elevator and I took step inside. I pressed the floor eight button and leaned back against the wall and shut my eyes.
I heard a click and my eyes sprung awake. Cameron was standing in front of the buttons.
"What happened?" I asked looking at my chipped pale pink nail polish.
"Look, I know you like Matt now. But before you make a major decision-"
Cameron lunged at me and pulled his lips up against mine. I tried to pull away at first and was soon seduced into his full lips. I took his hat off and flung it away and ran my fingers through his short brown hair. There was something about him that just sucked me in like a demon. His tongue begged my lips for entrance. I quickly gave up and allowed him in.
