What's going on?

When I got to Jenna's house, there were no cars, no lights, no noise. Something felt weird though cause she's usually home. I had an extra key so I decided to walk in and see what's going on, if there was anything even going on. Maybe her parents were at work and her brother had her car? I don't know but I was going to find out.

I opened the door to find a completely empty house. I checked every room and nothing. I even checked the garage and there was no one or nothing found. Not even in the backyard
I started to give up a bit till I walked back into the kitchen and saw a note on the island that read:

"Hey A,
Happy birthday bestie!! I love you so much which is why I'm doing this. Im sorry for not texting you for most of the day. You're prolly hella confused right now and about to give up but I bet after seeing this you aren't going to! To find me, you have to follow all these clues. 1. Go to our favorite pizza place and ask Max for a note. Then he'll give you your next clue on the note.
Love you, J"

I was kinda confused then realized this was a scavenger hunt type of thing. "Oof this better be worth it," is all I could think of.

I drove to the pizza parlor, walked in, and there I saw Max, Jessie's crush since forever.

     "Hey Max!"
     "Aye! It's the birthday girl! How can I help ya babes?"
     "Well first off, do you have a note from Jess? She's has me on a birthday scavenger hunt thing and said to talk to you."
     "Actually I do."
     "Thanks!" He handed me the paper and I folded it for a sec and then I started to get hungry. "Haha could you spare a couple bread sticks too? I'm getting hungry."
     "I'm pretty sure I could spare a couple for ya. 😉"
     "Awe, thanks mate 😊" He turned around and grabbed the bread stick bag and put 3 or 4 in it and handed it to me. "How much?"
     "No charge. My treat."
     "Wow, really? Thank you"
     "No problem. Have a good day, and tell Jess I said 'hey'."

I waved goodbye, and got back to my car. I sat my phone on the dash as well as the bread sticks and opened the note.

"Hiya!! Okay so now that you have your second note, let me ask you something. What's one thing you've always wanted? Other than to travel? Tick.. tock.. times up! Go to the camera store and tell them you're picking up a package for the birthday girl. It's already paid for so don't worry about that part. What are you still reading for!! Go! Go! Go!"

I quickly put the note down and grabbed the keys and drove off. It was just down the road so not that far of a drive or much to worry about. I pulled in, got out and ran inside to the clerk standing there and told her what I needed and she handed me a box with a letter on top (which read "open box first") then I went on my way. When I got in the car, I opened the box first and pulled out a brand new camera! Honestly is this day even real now?! I set it back in the box and grabbed the card.

"Oh you love me!! Now, 3. Go to your locker in the gym and look in there. Hope you like what's there :) <3"

Oof more driving around. I started the car and started driving. I had music playing and just had time to myself which was good. I ate a couple bread sticks along the way as well. It wasn't that far of a drive in distance but I decided to take the long way there just cause it was a beautiful day. Even though I took the long way, that doesnt mean traffic doesn't want to be an ass and happen. It was backed up for a good bit but it didn't really bother me. I've had a great day so far, why let a bit of traffic bring me down. I just turned up my music and checked my phone. More birthday tweets and posts. A few more snaps here and there as well as a couple more posts on Facebook posts. Traffic finally started to cool off and I was on my way again.

I finally arrived and signed in even though I wasn't going to be there long. I went to my locker to find a box with a note on top saying "open me first." I immediately opened it. I wanted to scream!! It was the dress I had been looking at and meaning to buy at the mall but someone bought it before I could. Guess I know who it was now 😂. Then I found a second note under it.

"Surprised yet? Haha I knew you were going GaGa over this at the mall and I just had to get it for you!! Now, put this on and head back to your place and get your party shoes and makeup on and meet me back at my place at 6. Love you girly!!"

I honestly wanted to cry! I swear Jess does so much for me. She is the best a girl could ask for. I quickly changed and drove home. It was only 5 when I got home so I had to kill time for a bit. I went ahead and showered once more and got changed. I did my makeup and hair as well and took a few selfies cause why not. It was 5:47 so I just decided to go ahead and leave a little early. It takes me like 10 minutes to get there anyhow. I mean what's going to happen if I show up 3 minutes early?
