I couldn't believe it, I was about to do the one thing I never dreamed would be possible, meet Jace Turner.

Jace was my idol, the one person I looked up to. He volunteers for charity, loves spending time with his family but is most well known for the rock band he's part of; Midnight souls.

My best friend Jessica and I first started listening to them when they were starting out and as their popularity grew, so did our love for the band. But like most fangirls, we had favourites. Jace had my heart whilst the drummer Rick had Jessica's.
We were happy with our dreams, and even though we knew nothing would come of them, there was always hope.

In our small minded town, Jess and I were outsiders. But listening to the band, it was as though we belonged somewhere. This will sound cliché but their words seem to know us.
It was thanks to Jess having extreme luck that we won tickets and backstage passes to an upcoming show.

I was daydreaming as I watched my older sister add the finishing touches to a dress she was working on. She'd just finished the last pin when Jessica burst through the shop doors. "Izzy!!!" She yelled, hurling herself at me.
"What's up Jess?" I laughed as my sister just rolled her eyes at us both.
"Guess who just won us two tickets to see Midnight Souls!" She giggled.
"Um, Kylie Bennet?" I joked as a smirk crossed my lips.
"Noo silly, me! We're going to see them next weekend! But that's not the best part!" Jess yelled stepping back so she wouldn't squeeze me too much. "We've also got backstage passes!
"If your dad lets you I mean" She then looked a little more down to earth as she came to terms with the reality of the situation.

To both of our surprise, my dad was actually happy for us both, he even gave me a goodluck present that I promised to wear at the concert. It was a deep blue pendant on a silver chain which was now around my neck as we waited in line to get into the venue. I was wearing my favourite knee length black dress with long sleeves, fishnet tights and combat boots while Jess had her trademark purple pinstripe leggings on and long Black shirt that she wore to look her best.
There were a lot more people than I'd expected, thousands of others who were dressed just like us were stood in line as we waited to go in.

The time we spent waiting in line both flew by and dragged as we were both excitedly talking about the band we were about to see.
Once we were finally inside, we rushed to find our seats which ended up being the first row in the seated area. We sat impatiently waiting for the first warm up act to go on.
Over what seemed like an hour later, the lights in the stadium went out and Midnight souls took the stage.

Jessica's eyes were on Rick of course, but most of the girls around us were drooling over the lead singer Callum, who always seemed to be the most popular. Then there was Ryan, the bassist but my eyes were on Jace, the guitarist and back up singer.
His gorgeous black hair that was neither long or short, his piercing blue eyes and handsome features.

It was well known throughout the fan base that Jace was rarely seen smiling. No one knew why.

They played song after song as the crowd, and us along with them, cheered and sang along.

It was when they played their final song and took a bow that my nerves kicked in.
"Thank you everyone for being here tonight, it's truly been a pleasure!" Callum Shouted as they waved to the crowd.
"But that isn't all as a select few have been selected to meet us backstage and we look forward to meeting you." Rick chimed in earning another cheer from the crowd.

Jessica and I Practically ran down to the backstage entrance. Waiting outside the door were around 5 other people. When the door opened and the guard asked to see our passes, three of them admitted to not having one so he just passed them a pair of autographed photos and sent them away.

He checked the rest of our passes and led us inside. The corridor we were led down was fairly normal with white walls and a grey floor. It was only once we reached a door with "Midnight Souls" on, that the nerves hit me full force. The body guard pushed open the door to reveal the band members lounging around on small sofas. All but one of them stood and smiled over at us. True to his persona, Jace just looked up at us. He didn't even try to look happy let alone smile like the rest of them.
"Welcome Ladies!" Callum piped up, grinning.
"And who would you lovely ladies be?" Ryan joined in.
Jessica and I were too awestruck to speak so the other two started first.
"I'm Georgina," the Tall brunette began,
"and I'm Christine" the petite blonde girl added.
It was a miracle that I managed to find my voice as all attention was turned to me and Jess.
"I'm Isabelle" I looked over to Jess, deciding she probably wouldn't be able to get a word out, "and this is Jessica" I finished, motioning over to her as she managed a smile.
When I looked back over at the band I was surprised to see Jace staring straight at me. If it had been any of the other members I would have been uncomfortable but I could already feel a blush spreading across my cheeks.
He didn't look away after I saw him, it was only once Rick began speaking that brought him out of his daze.
"So guys, I think we'll be splitting into two, as I think you girls would probably be more comfortable that way. Me and Jace will take care of Isabelle and Jessica whilst Callum and Ryan look after Georgina and Christine if everyone's ok with that?"
There were murmurs of agreement from almost everyone, Jace just remained silent.
We followed Rick into a separate room with Jace slowly following behind.
The room had a mini stage at one end with various instruments set out.
"I thought maybe you girls would like a more personal music session?" Rick offered as he headed over to the drums. Jace took the place at the front microphone, with a guitar too. Between the two of them they managed to play a small set of songs.
Jessica looked awestruck, with her eyes glued to Rick. Jace's voice was amazing, it was normally difficult to hear him over Callum but now it was all him. I couldn't stop the amazed look that crossed my face. He looked over at me and for a split second a smirk seemed to form on his lips but it disappeared as soon as it appeared.
Little did I know this was the start of something I really wasn't expecting...
