The Dragon and Secret

-Kaida's POV-
"BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG" the noise of 'Crystal' makes as she rams herself into my side of the house. 'Crystal', my blue and white Terrible Terror, is the ONLY dragon that will not bite me INSTANTLY, burn my face OFF, or rip me to SHREDS! And I a am NOT exaggerating, all of those things have almost HAPEND! The only other dragon that won't do that is my fathers dragon 'Toothless', and he still isn't very friendly towards me!

"What do you want you dumb lizard?" I say tiredly but with a smirk. "Do you know what time it is? I would rather sleep than face the outside world today."

"You never know! Today might be a good day! 'Crystal' my Terrible Terror said with enthusiasm.

(Oh did I mention that some how I can talk to all dragons? And for some reason, they STILL don't trust me! I also can feel like there's something else I can do but I just can't seem to place it!?)

"Come on, COME on, COME ON! 'Crystal' said pulling off my blankets. "Your parents are going to come in any minute and ask why you are talking to your dragon! I thought you wanted to keep this a secret!"

"OK, OK, I'M UP, I'M UP! And yes I want to keep it a secret! So stop talking to me and let me get dressed already!" I said in a hushed whisper.

I get up and get changed into my normal blue shirt and black tights, with my loose light brown bear skin coat. I quickly grab my brown boots and throw my hair in a high ponytail. I take one quick look in the mirror, and nod my head in approval. I quickly run downstairs to grab myself a bowl of soup before my official day of 'tormenting' begins.

"Come on Kaida! Hurry up! Your going to be late for dragon training!" 'Crystal practically screamed, the only thing is, I'm the only one that can hear her!

While 'Crystal is practically screaming at me to hurry up and get to dragon training, and blowing my eardrums off at the same time, I only look like the daughter of the Chief who is always late for everything! I get to the area just as the Chief, my father and sister are getting through with instructions. And of course he notices my sudden entrance, making me the very first to try to calm a dragon, yay!(note the sarcasm). My father gives me a fish and my sister hesitatingly opens the Natter cage, while I slowly walk up to it with the fish in hand. I quickly and quietly try to ask her to take the fish but she seems to just ignore me and growl at me, making me feel uncertain, but I don't let it show, not in front of my father. All of the sudden the Nadder snaps and fires at me! It's over as quickly as it started and as I walk out I can hear my neighborhood tormentors taunt me once again.

"How on Earth is she even closely related to Amelia?" Steven,son of Snotlout said.

"That was amazing destructive." Thomas, son of Tough said.

"I LOVED IT" Rachel, daughter of Rough said.

"She will never be like her parents, or her siblings. Kaida just has to face the facts, she's 'useless'." Alexa, daughter of Astrid said.

After hearing them I just ran home, not caring who I bumped into or who saw me cry. I just wanted to get home and get to my room to hide where I knew it was safe. On my way home, I bumped into Faith, daughter of Fishlegs. We always had somewhat of an understanding, she had always taken after her father, who loved to read and learn just as much as she did. I always loved to learn to, only people didn't take to kindly to my enthusiasm when I was younger and was always 'destroying things'.

"Kaida? What's wrong?" Faith asked once she saw that it was me.

"Not now Faith. I just want to be alone." I answered her hurriedly.

"Oh, ok. Well if you ever want to talk, you can always talk to me, ok?" She offers.

I look up at her through my tears and smile, "ok, thanks Faith!" I say.

"Kaida! Kaida wait up! Please slow down! You never go this fast! Come on Kaida! KAIDA!" I hear 'Crystal' screaming from behind me.

"Got to go Faith!" I quickly say.

"I can hear you 'Crystal' I just want to get home as quickly as possible!" I said, not bothering to whisper. (Which I didn't know at the time, but it was a big mistake!)

-Alexa's POV-
I was on my way home from dragon training and crossing the village to get to my house, when I see 'useless' run by at lighting speed! I'm almost impressed at how fast she can run, when i hear her dragon 'Crystal' squawking at her from behind her and Kaida, talking to her? Wait what?

"I can hear you 'Crystal', I just want to get home as quickly as possible!" I hear Kaida say.

Once they are gone I quickly walk to my room and think about what I just saw/heard. 'How is that even remotely possible!? No one can understand dragons! At least I think that's what's going on? Is it?'

So I'm going to be giving you some inside information on little things about the story as often as I can!

As I mentioned Kaida can talk to all dragons, she has no idea why or how but goes with it anyway. It's not that dragons don't trust her, it's that they can tell she is different and they are not very kind to 'different' people.
