-Travis's POV-
I was sitting in the kitchen, simply gathering my bow and arrows to put them away, while trying eating a bowl of soup that Amelia made for her and I.

"CREAK, BANG!" I hear the door open and slam shut as I turn around just in time to see Kaida rush past me and run straight to her room.

"Ummm, do you know what all that was about Amelia? I ask my twin sister as I hear her come into the room.

"Dragon training didn't go to well, again. But I don't know why she's so upset about it this time around?" Amelia said concerned.

"Who slammed the door?!" Our mother, Merida asked, well more like shouted.

As we uncovered our ears, I looked at Amelia, then back to our mum. "Mum, it was Kaida, she had a rough day in dragon training, again. But for some reason she was more affected by this one." Amelia explain carefully.

Our mothers hard gaze softens and sighs as she looks toward Kaida's room. "Alright then, just please quiet down."

"We will!" Amelia and I say in unison.

-Kaida's POV-
I slammed the door to my room and ran to my bed crying. I could normally take the teens teasing, but when Alexa called me 'useless', that, for some reason I just couldn't handle! It seemed to break me inside and I felt it to, I knew I wasn't crying because of their harsh words, I was crying because of the pain I was in!

After what seemed like hours, the pain died down and I wasn't crying as hard.

"Kaida? Kaida are you ok? Your family is worried about you." I hear 'Crystal' say.

"No 'Crystal', I'm not ok. Something is wrong with me, I can feel it!" I whisper to my only friend through my tears as I turn around and sit upright.

"Their coming!"

"Their coming!" Both 'Crystal and I whisper in unison.

"How did you...." 'Crystal' started, but I quickly shot her a glance that shut her up as the door opened and my father walked though!

"Kaida? Are you OK?" My father asked me as he approached the edge of my bed.

"I'm fine Dad, I just want to be left alone." I say in a whisper.

"Ok, dinner is downstairs when you want it." He says before he leaves and shuts the door behind him.

"Ok, how did you know he was coming? I mean, know he has a squeaky leg, but normally you don't even hear that!" 'Crystal' asks me in curiosity.

I looked at her in wonder and amazement, knowing she was right. I just shook my head and got up, needing some fresh air, and defiantly NOT wanting to go downstairs to face my family.

"Come on 'Crystal', lets go for a walk." I said as I placed my daggers in there hidden places, grabbed my sword, and put on some heavier clothes.

I have multiple daggers, two in each boot, one on each arm, underneath my bear fur, four behind my back, hidden of course from others, and lastly one dagger is placed where everyone can see it, on my right hip. So in total I have eleven daggers, plus my gronckle iron sword, that I place on my left hip, that my father gave me when I was ten.

As 'Crystal' and I slip out of the house, through my bedroom skylight, I start to feel as if I were being watched. I look towards 'Crystal', as if to give her a smile or talk to her, when I see Thomas turn away suddenly. My eyes widen as I look around and see Rachel and Steven as well. 'Oh no, not now. PLEASE NOT NOW.' I think to myself as I make a dash for the forest at full speed with 'Crystal' right on my tail!

"Hey!"

"Get back here!"

"You can't hide from us forever!"

I hear them yelling all their taunts and threats, and when I look behind me to see how far behind they are, I ram right into Alexa as she is walking along the tree line.

"Hey! Watch where your....." Alexa starts, but I cut her off when I grab her arm a pull her into the forest and behind a fallen tree with 'Crystal' and I, and signal her to be quiet. Ok more like beg her to be quite, with my eyes.

Alexa, although looking quite confused, stays quiet anyway. Soon Rachel, Thomas, and Steven all pass and we all come out into the open, me being the last. "You really don't know how to fight back, do you? And what was with you yesterday and talking to your dragon?" Alexa asked raising an eyebrow.

I was petrified, I had no idea how to answer her, I had perfect aim with my daggers and was actually really good with my sword. And she had overheard me and 'Crystal' talking on my way home from dragon training yesterday! What was I going to do! I just was so shy and scrawny that no one would ever expect it, and I'm not one to like the attention.

"Um..umm...well uh... you see... I tried but was cut off by the noice of the three 'idiots' coming back.

"Go hide, I will lead them away from here. Oh and I expect an answer to my question later." Alexa suddenly said, which startled me, but I hesitantly nodded and turned and ran anyway.

I ran to 'Crystal's' and mines favorite clifftop in the whole forest. When I stoped to catch my breath and looked out towards the ocean to see what can only be described as an 'ocean' of boats sailing on the horizon. As I grabbed my spyglass, I walked towards the edge to try to get a closer look at the insignia's. But right as I started to focus on the insignia, the ground gave way and I went tumbling down the side of the cliff.

"KAIDA! Hold on Kaida! You will be alright!" I heard 'Crystal' yell from behind me.

Right as she said that, the world went in slow motion, and I somehow knew she was right. First I slowed down on the mudslide I was on, and a rock appeared out of nowhere to help me catch myself. Next thing I knew I was standing on the rock, when a vine with purple and blue flowers appeared right in front of me. I gently, let firmly, grab the vine and it lowers me down to the ground all on its own! I turn around to see 'Crystal' staring at me in amazement.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that 'Crystal'?" I ask confused as to what just happened.

"You..you..your eyes.... the....the....they" she tries but can't seem to find the right word, while I'm getting genuinely scared.

"What! My eyes WHAT!" I ask scared.

"They were glowing"

Wow! Finally done with the chapter! That took a while to write! Hope you all like it!

Ok so Kaida is starting to figure out who she is and what she can do. When 'Crystal' says that her eyes are "glowing", they glow different colors, as to which power she is using! More details to come in later chapters!
