My name is Elizabeth Carter. I have what everyone calls "the perfect" body. I have a big chest, tiny waist, nice hips, and semi-thick legs. My dark wavy brunette hair normally flows down to the middle of my back, but today it was very windy and was whipping into my face. It kept covering up large portions of my line of sight . I love my eyes; I always get compliments on them. I'm always told that they are the brightest purple color anyone has ever seen, and the most beautiful white highlights to accent them. Every time someone says something about them I always blush, even if I don't want to. For the seventh time within the last two minutes I had to push a few, tiny strand of hair behind my little ear. I knew it was not going to do anything to help because I was trying to stick too much hair behind my too tiny ear. This was causing the strands kept escaping from behind my ear like rebellious kids who run from their parents when it was time to go to sleep. I was getting kind of cold since I was only wearing short, denim shorts and a short sleeve black tee shirt that fit snuggly on both my chest, and the inward curve of my waist. Since I am only fifteen I normally around this time would be at home sleeping in my comfy bed. But I'm glad I'm not.

I felt a slight tug on my right hand. As I looked down I was startled for a second. Jessica was walking beside me looking up with pleading eyes. She had been so quiet I had forgotten she was even tagging along with us. She is only ten but had insisted on coming with us or else she would tell mom and dad that I had left with James. "Yes?" I questioned in response to the tug she had done to my hand.

"Do you have any hair ties on you?" she asked as we took a left onto 3rd street. While asking her question she was staring at my left hand knowing I have always kept one on its wrist. I glanced down to see if I had one on. I had on two.

"Yes, why?" was my response.

She looked up at me with her little, bright green eyes and pleaded, "Will you please put my hair up for me?"

"Why can't you put it up yourself?" I ask as I hand her one of the hair ties.

"Cause when you put it up it's so much prettier then when I do it." She softly stated as she placed the tiny black hair tie back into my ice cold hand.

"Ok, I will put it up in a bun, just like how I normally wear my hair. Do you like it up like that?" I question as I gave into her puppy eyes.

"Yes! Thank you so much." She exclaimed happily while clapping her hands together. I loved to see her do that, it always made me feel like I was somehow making the world as bright as the smile that lit up her face. I sighed and stopped to take the brush out of her backpack. She was wearing a small cookie monster backpack that she refused to leave anywhere. She took it to every place she went cause she felt safe with it on. I unzipped it and pulled out the small brush she always brought with her. I pulled all of the strawberry blonde hair in front of her face and on her shoulders towards me so it was all splayed across her back. I used the brush to collect all of her hair and bring it up into a ponytail and then I tied it up. When that was done I curled the hair around my fingers until it was really tight and then spun it into a circle around the center of her ponytail. I took the other hair tie off of my wrist and wrapped it around the newly formed bun. I pulled out a few pieces of hair so they could hang and accent the design of the bun. I loved how her hair felt, it was so soft like she had hair made from the clouds themselves.

"Come on guys!" James shouted from a pretty good distance in front of us. He seemed a bit aggravated that we were far behind him.

"Oh. Shut up will you James. I was putting up Jessica's hair." I shouted back. James is our older brother, and we were on our way to another one of his parties except this one was special. Not only were mom and dad not going to be there but; it was being thrown to celebrate his seventeenth birthday. Most of the time he annoys the hell out of me whenever he is really impatient like that. But today I was letting him get away with most of it cause it was his birthday. As we caught up he flipped his pitch-black, straight as a board hair from his bright blue eyes. I glanced at his outfit for the first time tonight, he was wearing ripped denim jeans that showed some of his upper thighs, knees caps and some of his shins, and a red short sleeved band tee shirt. I'm pretty sure the band was Black Vail Brides but he turned briskly so I didn't get to see the whole picture. We started walking together again and made a right on a street that I wasn't able to read the name of. All of a sudden he halted in front of a door that I hadn't seen yet.

"Don't drink anything and don't go off with anyone, you are to sit at the table I leave you guys at and stay there no matter what. Ok?" He asked, as he looked us both into the eyes.

"Ok." Jessica and I said in unison.

I was just happy he hadn't left us home. Well we would have just been left with mom. She and dad got into a fight again and he drove off in the car. Mom grabbed two bottles of wine like usual and went upstairs and locked herself in her room with them. They do this almost every day. They always fought. I hate how they fight and I also hate having to be home period.

I could feel Jessica shaking beside me. I knew she was cold because she was wearing the same thing as me and I was freezing. As James opened the door we followed hot on his heels. I quickly picked up Jessica and propped her up on my right hip. James mumbled under his breath.

"What?" I asked over the music that had started flooding the building.

"Nothing." was his reply.

I was pretty sure he said something like "I shouldn't have brought them. I'm going to regret this. I just know it. They are way too young to know about it."

I wondered what the hell he was talking about. But then again I wasn't quite sure what he actually did say, and one thing for sure was he wasn't going to say it again.
