Never was the kind to think about dressing in white
Wasn't waiting on a prince to come riding into my life

With white lace draping her body in a way that clung in all the right spots, Elizabeth found herself taking deep breaths, hoping to calm the butterflies that raced within her stomach as she stood minutes away from walking down the aisle, a moment she never saw coming.

"I can't believe I'm here," she said, barely above a whisper, as she took in her reflection in the mirror. No one else heard, it was only for her own ears, the utter shock she felt over this very moment.

For a very long time, Lizzie had sworn up and down marriage was not meant for her. She was always happy on her own, and through relationship after relationship never felt that draw to forever. After a while she'd come to accept that maybe it wasn't meant to be. Not everyone gets married after all, and she was okay not being one.

Then it all changed, everything within her, the day she and Aaron first met.

She was not even expecting much from their first date, if she were truly honest with herself about it.

They were set up by friends, told they'd fit well together, had the same humor, and should at least meet and become friends if nothing else. It was a bit of a blind date, something Lizzie had a strong disliking for until that point. Not knowing someone at all walking into a date never felt the smartest move for anything to last, but she was proven oh so wrong quite quickly.

The date, which was meant to last two hours, turn into nine, going into the early hours of the morning, with the two of them talking the entire time, already slowly falling in love. It was the start of the most magical thing she'd ever had, and it all led to today, their wedding.

"It's time!"

She heard those words shouted from somewhere they felt so far away, though was likely a friend standing mere feet away. Everything else was just not quite truly there though, not for her, as she adjusted her veil one last time, and took a deep breath, her reflection causing so many emotions.

A bride. She was actually a bride. There was a pure shock running through her that was not going anywhere anytime fast.

As the ceremony began, and slowly two by two the wedding party began vanishing down the aisle of the church, her nerves increased tenfold. It was the best kind of nerves, but they were there swirling through her stomach nonetheless.

The reality of it all, the moment, hit completely, as her maid of honor and the best man were completely gone from her sight, and suddenly the music shifted to that oh so familiar sound that rang through the church oh so loudly, letting everyone know she was the one who would now be making their way down the aisle.

With her dad holding onto her arm, saying encouraging words that she could not even hear, the first step was taking slowly, as her breathing grew even harder. This was it. The moment she would walk right to the future. A completely different reality than she ever could have imagined. She was about to marry her best friend.

Up until the moment she entered the church, she'd been filled with nerves, but tears had not fallen down her face. She was stronger than that, she wanted to believe. She wouldn't cry. Nope. She'd sworn that up and down.

Seeing Aaron there at the end of the walk she was now talking though, and thinking over how much today meant, it was impossible to stop the tears from forming. Noticing the moisture forming in his was the final straw though, to have tears rolling down her cheeks.
