Notes: This is my first uhh.. "large scale" story, by "large scale" I mean, It's concept... is a different world, I never thought it would be too much work to create a story with a different world, I had to "generate" every detail and concepts for it. but not all of the concept were made by myself though, I got Ideas from other stories so some concepts in this story will have some similarities to other stories. I can't name all of it though. This is one of the reasons why I didn't upload this first, because it might have alot of copyright issues. But later on, I thought that theres a lot of famous stories out there that also got Ideas and concept from another story.

so here it is, sorry for the long note, x))),  but I really felt the need to write it.

Read if you like, comment some advice, and vote of you liked my work. :)

Prologue

It was a silent dawn. The lights of the old ruined mining village were dim. My heart was pounding as we were hiding from them. We were inside this ruined inn. A supposed 2 floored building filled with old broken furniture. Its walls were barely complete and broken wood floors lay around. The wall had numerous holes in front of this building, which might have been made by the past rampages of Esarcrian mages. We were sitting and hiding near a blurry old window which was almost entirely covered in dirt and dust. I still feel unsettled of this hiding place, as the walls had holes and that we are not quite hidden from the streets with the broken walls. Only the shadows covers us. A simple watch or peek by them, we will be seen in a snap.

I stood up and took a tiny peek by the edge of the old window. I saw nothing but the dim yellow light at the stone street, along with its broken merchant stalls and ruined buildings. No one was currently outside but I did not know for how long. We have been successfully hiding from them for hours now and I don't know if we can keep it that way... I know that I could fight back, but that kind of action might cost her safety. I'm certainly not taking any chances.

I was staring blankly at the air, thinking of our next move to escape from them. I didn't notice that she was already pulling at the end of my coat. "Lux" she said in a weak manner. I have done a great sin to her by leaving her to those thugs. After I realized that they were not the allies that I thought them to be. I can't look straight into her face anymore so I turned my head and stared blankly at the ground. I closed my eyes and told myself.

NO, I shouldn't ignore... I know in my heart that I must apologize...

I turned my look and saw her peaceful face. I was very upset of my actions and I remember that even more as I look at her, so I heavily closed my eyes in pain and turned my head downward instead. "I... I'm sorry Fey. I'm sorry I left you here and almost got you killed. I was an idiot for letting that happen. I... I'm really sorry.." I said to her constraining my anger and my eyes remained closed. I was afraid she will say things to me and curse me after what I did. I am not even hoping that she will trust me again. I can feel my body shaking as I wait for her response but she didn't. She stayed silent. I didn't know what to say next. I breathed heavily and noticed I was clenching my fists. I tried to relax and released it.

Then, I heard heavy footsteps from far down the old stone road. I heard from its rough voice saying "I can't believe he betrayed us". I opened my eyes as I knew someone's already walking towards us. I quickly looked outside the window after I heard him. I saw a big man wearing a big brown mantle who was pointing his flashlight around towards the old buildings, clearly searching for us. He is one of the member of these thug's main circle. He is 7ft in height and almost as fat as three men combined. He is not smart but if it is about fighting there's no question to his abilities. He once got on a fight while we were in a village, back when I still thought of them as allies.
