Kevin's POV
I followed Jeremy's car to an abandoned warehouse.
I parked the car by a big freight as he pulled Kirstin out of the car roughly.
Blood stained the back of her shirt, but she didn't look like she was dying. The police came and walked into the building cautiously, leaving me there to developed a plan of action. Part of me told me to stay and let the cops do their job. The other part said that she was my wife, so I had to save her.She probably doesn't want me anymore.
I saw the police drag Jeremy out, with Kirstin limping behind. She saw me and limped over. She eyed me warily before closing the gap to kiss me. I scooped her up and carried her to the car and drove back to the hotel.
Next day.
3rd person POV
The couple was on their way back home after going to the doctor to make sure Kirstin was okay. The doctor gave them the okay to travel back home. They were on the ferry going back to LA, and the trip would take at least 4 hours since Kirstin couldn't go on any planes. She fell asleep with her head on Kevin's shoulder. He rubbed her stomach fondly, contemplating yesterday's events.
He felt a kick against his hand and smiled softly. He couldn't wait to see his children and tell them he loved them with all his heart. He couldn't wait to sing them lullabies. He couldn't wait to cuddle and play with them.
Kirstin woke up and watched him smile in content. She had missed that smile. She softly turned his head to face her and pecked him on the lips. She rubbed her thumb on his cheek while he laid his head against her chest, slowly falling asleep. He slept, snoring quietly as the ferry calmly rocked against the waves. She smiled as she thought of their future together. She rubbed her wedding ring happily, reminiscing their wedding.
How happy Kevin looked when she walked down the aisle. Their dance at the reception. Everything.
It all felt like a dream, but luckily, it was reality.
There was just one thing troubling her.
Why would Kevin try to kill himself?
Was he not happy with his life?
Was it something she said or did?
Questions whirrled around her brain as they neared the dock of LA.
She woke Kevin up, and he drove out of the ship. They git to Scott and Mitch's house, where they were taking care of Taffy. They picked her up and her stuff and drove back home. Kevin opened the door for Kirstin's car, and they walked into the house. Kirstin put Taffy down.
The rest if the day was spent watching TV in their bedroom.
