General POV:

His thoughts were clouded with anger. She was cheating on him, and she didn't even have the decency to admit it. And the worst part was, his feelings for her didn't change.

He still loved her just as much as he did an hour ago. He was just angry. Just plain angry.

Sure, he understood that a guy like him could never deserve a girl like her. He was poor and he didn't have a family. Hell, he was homeless until just last month.

But yet, he truly believed that what he had with Hanna was real.

Now he realizes it wasn't.

She's overwhelmed. She can't believe that -A would do that. Well, maybe she can. -A has done a lot worse. But the bad part was, he didn't believe her. He truly thought that there could be another guy for her. As if.

She didn't know what to do to convince him. What to say. How to act.

She was overwhelmed. And he was angry.

"Go." He said, the words firm and harsh from his mouth. These words surprised her. She knew he was angry. But she thought he'd at least give her a chance to explain. Then again, she's not explaining. She's just sitting there. God, that must have looked bad.

"Caleb-" She began, truly not knowing where she was going with this.

"No." He doesn't want to hear it. He doesn't want her to explain. He doesn't want to listen to her lies.

This was an unexpected response to her. Usually, she would have expected he at least hear her out. But he didn't. God, this is all just so screwed up. "Stop explaining. Don't speak. Just go."

But she was determined. Hanna rarely came out of her bubbly, sarcastic persona, but when she did, when she was legitimately serious, Hanna meant business.

She decided on a soft approach to the situation. He was already angry with her enough. She didn't want to increase that.

"Caleb, you don't understand-" She began, trying desperately to plan a speech in her mind.

Don't say too little; he needs to understand. Don't say too much; you'd be putting him in danger.

She told herself those words over and over again. But they didn't do her any good. She didn't know what to say. And that was that. But she didn't have to, as she was cut off.

"Just stop. Please, just stop." He sounded frustrated. Annoyed. She couldn't register that that annoyance was directed at her. It just wasn't settling in her mind.

They were supposed to be soul mates. They were supposed to do cute couple things like cuddle and put ice cream on each others noses. Fighting off stalkers isn't how it was supposed to go. They were supposed to be soul mates.

"I-" She began yet again, determined.

"Hanna, no." He said, raising his voice slightly, so that she knew he was serious, but not to the point where he scared her. No matter how angry he was, he could never even think about hurting Hanna physically. It just wasn't an option. "Just leave. Get out."

His words were clear and sharp. Sharp like a knife to her throat. But her emotional pain was so much worse than any pain a knife could ever cause.

"But-" She tried again, desperate. He needed to let her finish. She didn't know what she would say, but she would say something. Anything.

"I don't want to see you. Get out!" That was her breaking point. Blink, she told herself. Blink all the tears away and don't show any weakness. But despite her endless attempts, a single tear escaped her eye. Followed by another, and another, and before she knew it, she was running out of his apartment.

She didn't know where she was going, what she was doing. She didn't know where she was or how she got there. All that was going through her head right now was his hateful voice.

Just go.

Get out.

Just leave.

I don't want to see you.

Get out.

Get out!

It's too much for her and she can't process it. She feels dizzy and she grows light headed, closing her eyes. Maybe she'll faint, maybe she'll die. She certainly hopes so.

The dizziness only grows and soon she's almost positive she'll lose consciousness. That is, until she hears a familiar voice.

"Hanna!" It yells out and she forces her eyes open. Her brow furrows when she sees Aria. She looks behind the girl, forcing her eyes to un-blur. These tears were getting the best of her eyesight and she didn't like it. Then again, she didn't like a lot of things these days. That didn't make them disappear.

When her eyes finally obey her, she realizes she is at the brunette's house. Her feet must have carried her there. The short girl quickly scrambled to her side, confused but nonetheless worried, helping her friend inside.

Hanna loved Aria, she really did. But for the moment, her thoughts were clouded with another important face. A face that no matter what, she could never forget.

After she had settled in Aria's room, under a warm blanket and holding a hot cup of coffee, she found that her overwhelming feeling of urgency had dissolved. It had turned into pure and utter sadness.

It was the same for him. He no longer felt angry. He was just saddened. Saddened by her lack of presence next to him, but more so saddened by the new information he had learned.

She had cheated, and he had lied.

She was sad, and he was sad.

In the end, they were all the same, right?

Next Chapter:

The girls constantly tried to get their blonde friend to talk. But all that the usually bubbly girl would talk about was the guy she missed so much. The guy who, unbeknownst to her, missed her as well.

He sat there, staring into empty space, thinking about her. Her eyes. Her smile. Her laugh.

He didn't know why this hurt him so much. He was supposed to be the guy who didn't have emotions. He always kept his emotions out. But then he saw her. And everything changed.
