Once back at the bunker I immediately headed to find the only picnic basket we had.
It took a good ten minutes of searching until I found it. I headed to the closet and found an extra blanket to use. I carried both out to the kitchen and Sam was already gathering snacks. At the moment he was cutting cheese into cubes.
(A/N- Can you imagine Sam Winchester, cutting cheese? *crying tears of laughter*)
As he finished, I pulled stuff out for sandwiches and got to work. Sam paused to go turn on some music and we jammed out while we made stuff.
After the sandwiches were made, I cut them into triangles, just because I wanted to.
After everything was made we packed it into the basket and placed the blanket on top. He cleaned up the mess we made and headed to the car. Sam carried the basket and placed it in the backseat before getting in and driving to the spot he wanted to go to.
We drove for about five minutes before pulling over along the road and turning the car off. Only once Sam began to get out of the car did I follow. I watched as Sam grabbed the basket from the car and came over to stand next to me.
He pecked my lips and grabbed my hand before walking towards the woods.
We walked through the woods, Sam holding branches out of the way. He knew that he didn't have to, but he was always a gentleman towards me and wanted to do things like this.
We walked for about three minutes before we came to a clearing. It was a large field filled with all kinds of beautiful flowers. Towards the edge of the clearing, I could see a small lake that a waterfall emptied into.
My jaw dropped at the beautiful sight. I was absolutely speechless. Sam looked at me as I took everything. I turned to him with a huge smile on my face and he smiled at me in return.
We continued to walk over to the edge of the lake before Sam stopped and set the basket down.
I reached into the basket and pulled the blanket out, spreading it out on the ground. We both sat down and started pulling food out of the basket. Only once everything was completely set up did we eat anything.
We both grabbed a sandwich triangle first. Our hands brushed up against each other. Instead of flicking and taking our hands away, then glancing at each other in a chick flick way, I smacked his hand away and grabbed one. He laughed before picking his own up and taking a bite.
We sat in a comfortable silence as we ate. There was no need for talk. We enjoyed the beauty of the nature around us and we listened to the waterfall.
Once I was full, I laid back and looked up at the clouds, just waiting for Sam to finish.
Once he did finish, I sat back up and looked at him, not knowing where to go next. I watched him curiously as he picked up a cube of cheese and proceeded to throw it at me. Though, for a hunter, he had very poor aim because it missed me by a couple of inches.
I looked at him and suddenly felt the urge to be childish. I stuck my tongue out at him.
"Missed me, missed me! Now you gotta kiss me!"
He smiled mischievously before leaning over closer to me. I decided to mess with him and jumped up, so I was standing.
"Nope! You gotta catch me first!"
He laughed at my sudden behavior before jumping up as well. When he did that I realized that he was actually going to go along with it and so I bolted away as fast as I could.
As I ran I couldn't stop laughing, neither could Sam. It was short lived of course, because of Sam's ginormous legs he easily caught up with me.
He wrapped his arms around my waist from behind, effectively stopping me in my tracks. He laughed lightly in my ear before bending down and placed a kiss on my neck. He turned me around and kissed my lips passionately. I returned it with just as much passion.
I couldn't help but wonder what we would look like to strangers.
When we pulled away he leaned his forehead against mine, his usual move after a passionate kiss.
"Caught you..."
