(Annabeth POV)
War. Destruction.

The only words that came into my mind. Camp half-blood was under attack by the titans. Lives were at stake, fire and chaos enveloped the whole camp.

A dracaena swung her javelin at me, missing by an inch, I rolled out from the side and jabbed at her with my dagger. She gave out a snake like hiss, before swinging for me once again. This time, the tip of the javelin caught me, cutting my cheek and cutting my sleeve, leaving a deep red gash in my arm, and that was when she used her reptilian snake stump to kick my legs from underneath me. I fell on the ground hard. My dagger skidded a few inches away from me.

"You know, I've always hated the thought of being in Tartarus" I began trying to distract the dracaena. "It must be horrible spending eternity there." I backed up on my elbows slowly.

The dracaena laughed, baring her sharp fanged teeth and slithering closer. "I guessssss" she slithered, "you'll hate me more for sssssending you there." Her javelin tip came slashing through the air, straight for my heart.

"Not before I send you there first." I said, before kicking the javelin away and catching her off guard, I rolled to the side and reached for my dagger, I aimed my weapon at her. The dracaena tried to dodge my blow, but instead her javelin fell out of her scaly hand, I swung my dagger and got her right in her heart. She disintegrated into the air, with black smoke. I placed my hands on my knees, exhaustion and perspiration taking over. I looked around and saw Demi gods, some that I knew, some that I didn't, fighting other monsters, winning or losing I didn't know.

My eyes landed on an angry Nico Di Angelo, fighting off an 8 ft tall laestrygonian, he conjured up armies from the dead, the giants tall and muscular build kept trying to swat the army of the dead away with his club to no avail, instead only going straight through them, he was getting annoyed, but Nico had it under control.

I took out a couple more monsters with my dagger, helping out other Demi gods and satyrs, receiving thank you's and exhausted smiles in return.

A catapult with hot burning coal launched by a laestrygonian came to the vicinity in which I was standing in, my face and eyes burned from the light and heat that it produced, I jumped out of the way, covering my head with my hands as bits of the hot coal rained around me. The smoke suffocated me as I coughed and wheezed. Standing up was agony. Others were hit badly, some got up, some stayed on the ground, still. The survivors that were hit directly must have at least gained 3rd degree burns. The hairs on my arms were singed and there were red marks on my exposed skin where the debris landed on.

My eyes skimmed the view ahead, I tried searching for a face in particular, as the impact of the catapult died down with the smoke, that's when I saw him.

Percy was going one on three against two Empousai and a Telekhine. He swung and caught one Empousai in the throat, she shrivelled up and disintegrated, that was when the other Empousai found the opportunity and jumped on Percy's back and restrained him, while the Telekhine ran in front and gave him a couple of punches in the stomach, Percy was already weak, the punches were like an ache in me too. The Telekhine suddenly got out his smaller sword and was going to stab at Percy, my heart raced and I acted, I caught my dagger, positioning it at the right angle, my arm was too bruised to throw far, but I mustered as much strength as I could and threw it straight at the Telekhine, it caught him at the back of his head and he turned to black smoke. Percy took that chance and flipped the Empousai over and stabbed her straight in the heart.

A sigh of relief came over me, Percy looked at me with his sea green eyes, they became wide with shock and that was when I felt an excruciating sharp pain in my abdomen. A spear lodged itself, sticking out of my abdomen. My body suddenly felt too heavy for my liking and my knees buckled, I fell to the ground. Gasping for air as blood pooled around my body.

"Annabeth!" I heard Percy scream.

The creature stood in front of me ready to lodge it's spear in my heart, it was coming down so fast.

A sword manoeuvred the spear and blocked the attack inches away from me, it skilfully twisted the spear and it flew far away. Percy stabbed the creature and it disappeared with a cry of pain. Everything slowed around me, explosions were quietened and it was bliss, my eyes closed.

"Annabeth, stay awake. Please." Percy's voice woke me, the sounds of explosions and screaming came rushing back. His arms wrapped around my body, I was limp in his arms. He carried me, his green eyes filled with anger and sadness, they kept looking at me and back at the view In front.

"Per..cy.." I said in a cough. His arms only tightened around me more. The pain started getting worse, It felt like someone had gotten metal tongs after an hour of heating it in the fire, and pressed it against my abdomen. There was poison in the wound, I could feel it.

He was taking me somewhere, and I had a pretty good idea where.

Creatures tried attacking Percy, thinking of me as a hinder to him but he side stepped them and kicked them with surpassing speed, his face was angry. I let out a choked cry as the pain started spreading. Percy's face turned into a hard scowl.

"I'll make the pain go away, I'll make it go away." Percy's voice spoke.

The smell of salt water filled my nose. He was taking me underwater. My eye lids started feeling heavier by the second.

He placed me on the ground and I leaned all my weight on him, he took my arm and slung it over his shoulder, and his other hand held me around my waist. "Percy.. t-the others" I muttered, black spots dancing around in my vision.

"The titans army are down to 52, we have 96 including the Pegasi and Tysons cyclops army. I think they can manage for now."

We delved inside the water, he pulled me closer to him and we were in an air bubble. I could breath underwater. He placed his hand on my abdomen and nothing happened for a moment. Then a green glow took place, at the touch of his hand on my abdomen, the pain started subsiding, the ache becoming dull and then was gone altogether, all that was left of the injury was the long rip of my clothing.

"Annabeth, why did you save me?" He spoke, almost as if he were angry, but then he touched my cheek, softly.

"You could have died." The energy came back to me and I distanced myself from him in the air bubble. Our eyes locked and he gazed at me intently. All of a sudden, he then grabbed my wrists and pulled me closer to him, our bodies colliding and floating.

"I wouldn't have been able to live with myself if anything happened to...to you."

A gasp escaped my mouth, and that was when he pressed his lips against mine, our lips reciprocating one another. His hands tightened around my waist and my hands went through his black hair. His lips were soft and gentle. He tasted sweet, until the taste of the sea salt interfered, but it was pleasant.

"I love you, seaweed brain." I muttered. He smiled and kissed me again.

Who would have thought, huh? An underwater kiss.
