Jordan's POV:

I woke up to the sound of birds singing in the air, to be honest I didn't know why they were so happy, I mean, c'mon they're always outside in the cold. But at least the little chicks had their parents, whereas I would be luck to see mine once a year.

You see I'm not a border but my parents are never home because they are supposedly at "work". But I'm not one to complain because I have a roof on my head and food to eat and clothes on my back. All I want is to spend more time with them do things that normal families do but that's not my case.

A tear ran down my cheek and I had swiped at as suddenly as it had appeared." Snap out of it Jordan!" I yelled at myself, I  had a reputation to uphold as the bad girl of East High and I sure wasn't gonna ruin it by crying. Crying is always a sign of weakness and I can't afford to be weak, not today.

I quickly got  dressed int o a pair of black, skinny ripped jeans, a grey crop top, a black leather jacket and a pair of black ankle boots. Just as i was about to leave the phone rang. And that never happens.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Jordan, it's me, Jonathan" the voice said. A wave of relief washed over me." There's no other way to say this but... your parents are dead."

" Wha....what?" I asked

" Pack your bags your coming to live with Manda, Chris and I. I'll be there in half an hour"

I didn't shed a single tear. I mean how could I if they were never home, don't get me wrong, I liked them but I don't think I loved them, they never even told me where they worked.

I grabbed by backpack and stuffed all my clothes in there, its not like I had a lot.

Jonathan arrived soon after I was done packing, he just took my bag and walked out. He seemed more affected than I was. Time to go to my new home. And I won't miss this house cause all the memories are of me alone.
