Guys I know for a fact that the "main character" of this story will also have a best friend but continue and see how this is different from your typical good girl bad boy story.

"He did it again!, he cheated on mum and she still refuses to leave his sorry ass", I fumed out, my red hair was sticking to my forehead , a soft breeze drifted through my bedroom as me and my best friend Taylor Richards "studied" on my bedroom floor.

"He's like a full blown pig, I can't even-" I was interrupted by Taylors phone going off. I Exhaled as she gave me a guilty look her green eyes filled with remorse and tiredness . I was used to this , she had to go Again. I understand , her mom has cancer and she had to go to the hospital.

Its just that I never see her any more, Selfish I know , but I can't help it, I'm left all alone in a situation that I can't utter to another soul, as you might already tell I'm not telling Taylor the whole absolute truth .

"I'm sorry Kay, I have to-",

" Go", I completed , she slowly nodded her head slowly as she packed her stuff and left in a hurry not before a quick sorry and goodbye.

I sighed as I packed up my stuff also seeing no need to continue studying.

I only wanted to hang out with her after all.

As if on cue , I heard The sound of a car pulling into the drive way of my small cottage house .

I grimaced as I shifted in my position on my bed waiting for his forever slurred voice to yell my name(if he remembers it) out in unnecessary anger.(The Usual)

"KARLY!!!, KARLY GET THE FUCK OUT HERE", I reluctantly got up and made my way out of my room into the kitchen where they presumably were .

As I walked in I saw my mum in the corner of the room her knees pushed up to her chest as she sat down eyes closed , she looked absolutely hopeless but I could only believe that she brought it upon her self .

A sting in my cheek brought me back into the real world AKA My living hell.

"Listen to me when I talk to you, bitch ",I scoffed looking into My "Step-dads" eyes

"I'm sorry if i don't want to die from your skunk breath , I'd rather die by gouging my eyes out with a rusty spoon", That one earned me a blow to the stomach.

I'm so used to this that I decided to taunt him , there was no point fighting back anymore , My mom wasn't going to help me , If i told anyone that wouldn't end well either .

You could say I'm between a rock and a hard place.

"Better shut up, smartass because I could do so much worse", With that he gave me one last blow to the head that launched me into darkness.

"Kayla, Kayla wake up", My eyes fluttered open to that very panicked voice.

I saw my mother leaning over me, I wiped the thin layer of sweat that receded on my forehead . I pushed her away from me as I sat up rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.

"Oh, so now you want to talk to me",I said getting up, She latched onto my shoulder.

"Kayla please I'm -",

"Sorry?,Oh give it a rest", I turned to her and gave her my coldest stare " I have to go get ready for school",I jerked my arm out of her grip , seeing hurt flash through her eyes .

I know , I know she is still my mother but the disappointment is too much , to think after 3 years I actually thought she would help me ,

Yeah that's rich

No one knew about the beatings , not even my best friend since forever , I wanted to tell her but then her mother got sick and the threats started.

If you tell anyone YOU'RE DEAD
If you tell anyone I.WILL.KILL.YOU
If you tell anyone I will torture your mother and then make her watch when I-

Ok that's enough of that .

I finally finished getting ready.
I got my back pack and went straight  for the door.
Thank God the drunk has gone back to where he belongs the bar.

"Kayla, I'm sorry ", I stopped in my tracks but didn't  turn around
"Kayla look at me",

"I'm sorry too, mother", with that  I opened the door and slammed it behind me .

"It's time to got to the only break I have from hell, Hell.".
