~~~~~2 years later ~~~~~
-Travis's POV-
"Amelia? Amelia wake up. Come on Amelia! If we want to get out of here, we need to move now!" I whisper to my twenty-one year old twin in the dead of night."Ok! I'm coming! What time is it?" Amelia asks, in a hushed tone, as we race through the small common grounds of our once beloved village.
"It's almost midnight, and the guards shift just ended, so we have to hurry it we want to make it out of here before the next shift change." I whisper back.
Amelia nods in response as we reach the 'gang', and everyones parents, and dragons. "There you guys are, come on we have to hurry! Their shift change is any minute! Let's go!" Alexa whispers to us as we all start running towards the northern part of the forest.
The sift change is made right as we make it to the tree line, making it nearly impossible for Drago or his men to see us in the dark, and being surrounded by dark brown tree trunks defiantly helps us hide in the night. Everyone is being as quiet as they can, even Thomas, Rachel, and Steven, who are always talking and/or fighting. But this time they know the risks if we get caught.
We wait until all the lights pass, and guards clear from the area, then we start to quickly but as quietly as possible move north towards the cliffs and the beach that is always deserted.
"I'm glad Kaida isn't here for all this" I said to myself.
-Kaida's POV-
"Come on Alec! Keep up!" I yelled to one of my best friends/crush, as we jump from branch to branch in the trees, as we each carry a turkey on our backs."Well it's hard to keep up when you keep throwing branches, leaves and rocks at me!" Alec yelled from behind me, with a giant grin on his face.
I chuckle at his comment as we come into view of our home. On the outside, it's a decent sized cottage, with green vines around the walls, and with two gardens, one full of fruits and vegetables for my friends and I to eat, and the other a medium sized flower garden, filled with flowers of an assortment of different colors. In the backyard, a training course of semi-mass proportions. Equipped with targets of all sizes, for archery, On the inside of the house, there is an assortment of rooms, each different, and all painted soft, vibrant colors. The cottage has a kitchen on the main floor, along with a center area, and a bathroom. There is a stairway that leads downstairs to a open area with four doors that leads to four bedrooms and each has a connecting full bathroom.
"Hey guys!" Eve, another one of my best friends yelled from the vegetable garden.
"It's about time you guys get back! What did the hunt catch?" Ben, my third best friend asks with a smirk.
I shake my head as we walk towards the house. I grab my turkey off my shoulder, and chucked it right at him, knocking the air right out of him. "Turkey, the hunt caught turkey." I stated smirking.
"Oh 'hahaha', very funny 'Dragon'. (Oh did I mention that her friends sometimes call her 'Dragon' due to the fact that's what her name means in Japanese?) Wow how did you carry this thing all the way back here?" Ben asked in astonishment, even though I do it all the time.
I only roll my eyes, grab my dragon scale hood, sword, and refill my arrows and go back out into the forest for some ' 'Crystal' and me time'.
