Joe and I spent three days at Zoe and Alfie's place. It's been only two days since we came back to London. After that whole 'incident' Joe and I had, we didn't do anything. He never came back into my room at night and he wouldn't even look me straight in the eyes.

He seemed to distance himself from me after that day. I felt a bit lonely. Did I do something wrong? Is it my fault?

I sighed and decided to visit Joe for a while. Even if it was late at night. Hopefully he's not sleeping.

I knocked on his door and heard some shuffling. After a while, the door opened. But it wasn't Joe who answered, it was Conor.

"Vanessa! I haven't seen you in a while, come on in." Conor shut the door behind me and walked into the living room.

The camera was set up and it looked like they were still filming. Someone I didn't recognize was sitting on the couch. He was ginger and he looked pretty tall. Joe was sitting in a chair, shirtless.

"Vanessa! Oh um, sorry. Where's my shirt Josh?" Joe looked around the room and spotted his shirt next to Josh. He hastily put it on and blushed.

I looked away, clearly my face was red. "Sorry, were you guys filming? I didn't mean to interrupt."

"No, no. We just finished up. This is Josh by the way, Josh this is my neighbor Vanessa." Joe pointed at me and I gave a small wave at Josh.

Josh smiled and waved back. Conor sat on the couch and gestured for me to sit next to him. I sat next to him and glanced at Joe. He coughed awkwardly and began to clean up the set up. Josh helped him as he put the camera away.

The doorbell rung and Conor quickly stood up. "That must be Jack, I asked him to pick me up." Conor ran to answer the door and soon enough I heard laughing.

Conor came back with, who I think was, Jack. "Vanessa, this is Jack. He's my brother. The less talented one." Conor laughed and Jack punch his shoulder playfully.

I got off the couch and walked towards Jack. "Hi, I'm Vanessa. The interviewer." I chuckled and stretched out my hand. Jack grabbed my hand and pulled me in for a hug. I hesitated but I hugged him back.

"It's so nice to meet you. Conor told me all about you. You look really pretty, just saying." Jack put his arm around my waist and winked. I smiled nervously as Conor pulled him away from me.

"You're making her uncomfortable, stop that." Conor messed with my hair and Jack scoffed.

Joe walked up to us and gave a slight glare at Jack. "Well, I was about to fix Josh and I something to eat. Shouldn't you two be on your way?" Joe looked at the brothers. It seemed like he was almost kicking them out.

"Actually, dinner would be lovely. I'd love to stay for a while and get to know more about Vanessa." Jack put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me near him.

"Fine, I guess you guys can stay. The more, the merrier." Joe said through gritted teeth. He clenched his hands into fists and walked to the kitchen.

Jack sat next to me at the table and Joe sat across from us. I could tell there was some tension between the two but I didn't understand why. I thought they were all friends.

Whenever I said something funny, Jack would lightly touch my arm or shoulder. I could tell Joe was trying to stop himself from saying something. It confused me since he hasn't acted the same after visiting Zoe and Alfie. I really felt like I did do something wrong.

We finished our dinner and Joe still didn't seem to have calmed down. He cleaned up the table and set the dishes in the sink. Josh and Conor looked at him worriedly then looked at Jack and I and smirked. Conor whispered something to Josh and Josh nodded while looking at us.

Jack grabbed a strand of my hair and began twirling it with his finger. "I love your hair, it's so soft. Your skin is pretty soft too. I could touch it forev-"

"No! Shut up! Just shut up! Stop touching her, stop flirting with her, just stop. Can't you see how uncomfortable she is?" Joe began yelling and stormed over to Jack.

Conor looked at them worriedly and quickly stood up from his seat. Josh did the same and walked over to Joe. "Jack, why don't we go home now? I'm getting kind of tired." Conor pulled on Jack's arm lightly. Jack reluctantly stood up and nodded slowly.

"Hey mate, calm down. Don't get so angry." Josh whispered to Joe while putting his hands on Joe's shoulders and lightly shaking him.

Joe nodded and took a deep breath. I didn't know what to do, I was stunned. I've never heard Joe yell like that. He was defending me but he seemed to have snapped.

I got up and said goodbye to Conor and Jack as they left the apartment. I nervously walked back to the living room and saw Joe sitting on the sofa with his face in his hands. I glanced at Josh nervously as he walked up to me. "Don't worry, he'll be fine. I guess he just wanted to defend you but he did it in the wrong way."

I nodded and sighed. "Yeah, I guess so. Thanks Josh."

"Don't worry about it, he seems calmer now. You should talk to him." Josh patted my shoulder and left the apartment, leaving Joe and I alone.
