Eagerly glancing at the route map on the screen before her, squealing anxiously and anxiously shifting in her airplane seat, as the plane slowly but surely arrives in Ethiopia, Red tries to imagine what their first meeting would be like.
She had tried to calm her eagerness by reading a book, but she couldn't get her mind off what it would be like to finally meet her long distance girlfriend of 5 years.
She laughs to her self and immediately notices the kindly smile of old lady beside her.
"Sorry" she says, and blushes.
The old lady smiles "eager aren't we?"
She nods shyly "I'm meeting my gir--boyfriend" she internally scolds herself at the mistake she'd almost made. Red didn't want to disgust the poor lady.
"What's her name?" the lady asks with her sweet smile which started to seem like her dominant expression.
A little shocked, Red stutters "Raina"
"That's a beautiful name. What's yours?"she asks, passing her a food tray from one of the hostesses.
Red smiles and takes it "thanks, I'm Dyta"
"You didn't want to tell me that you're dating a female, did you?" The old lady asks, snickering
Red blushes and nods in response.
The old lady pinches Red's cheek in a typical grandma fashion "this is 2017 my dear child"
Red giggles and starts to feel more comfortable with the lady and they continue talking about Red's relationship and other things.
Still Red's heart beat anxiously in her chest
