*One month later*

Sidney and I have been dating for several weeks now; it all feels surreal. We spend as much time together as possible but our busy schedules sometimes conflict -- we make it work. I was beginning to worry because Sid hasn't said anything about going back to the states. I didn't know exactly when he was leaving or if our relationship would work out. I kept my feelings to myself because I haven't felt this loved in so long. He puts the biggest smile on my face and I can't seem to get him off of my mind. Thinking of him leaving is upsetting.

We occasionally get romantic date nights and tonight was one of them. Eli was sleeping over his friend Brandon's house. Sid called me earlier to tell me to get dressed up and be ready by 6:30 PM for dinner. I was finishing up my eye makeup when I heard the door open. Sid is the only other person who has a spare key, so I knew it was him. My eyes wandered over to my alarm clock that sat on my nightstand. 6:31 PM. Oh my god... I was running late and of course my boyfriend is the most punctual person in the world. I put on highlighter quickly and stood up, looking at myself in the mirror. I was wearing a blush colored lace dress that I haven't worn in ages along with white strappy heels.

"Scarlet?" My boyfriend's, familiar voice called out. "In here!" I yelled, fixing my hair in the bathroom mirror. Sidney appeared in the doorway smelling of his musky, sexy cologne. That smell of sandalwood and spice drove me absolutely nuts. He stood in the doorway in his black dress pants and gray polo shirt. His pants perfectly fit his bulky, muscular legs. "You're looking sexy tonight, babe." He purred in my ear, earning a giggle from me. "I could say the same about you. You wore my favorite cologne, too." Sid smirked and planted small kisses on my neck as I finished fixing my hair. "Everything is for you." He whispered as he placed a hand on my back, giving me chills. "I'm ready now, where are we going?" I asked, kissing his cheek."We're headed to this restaurant nearby and then we're going to back to my house. I bought you your favorite ice cream for you." Sid smiled at me as we headed to the door. He was too good for me and it felt good being treated right for once. "Sounds like a plan!" I beamed at him.

We drove to the restaurant and chatted a little bit. Sid drove with one hand on my thigh and the other on the wheel. Every once in awhile, he would squeeze my thigh. My phone buzzed suddenly, I pulled it out from white clutch and saw a text from Darcy.

To Scarlet: Hey! What are you up to? You out with your boy toy?

From Scarlet: Hey, I'm with Sid! We're headed to dinner and then we're going to his house.

To Scarlet: Ask him about when he's going back to Pittsburgh. I know it's bothering you

I sighed and looked over at Sid. His chocolate brown eyes, clean shaved face, gelled black hair, huge smile on his face -- I couldn't bring this up now. We were having a romantic night, I don't want to ruin it before it even starts. I'm pretty sure that he's scared to bring it up.

We got to the restaurant and got a table right away because Sid made reservations in advance. A lot of people noticed him, so he stopped politely to give autographs and take pictures. That's what I loved about him. He's so down-to-earth and humble. We sat down and browsed the menu a little bit.

We ordered our food and talked for a while about training, Eli and my work. He brought up how excited he was for his day with the cup in a few days. Eli and I were going to the parade in Cole Harbour to celebrate the Stanley Cup. Sidney's birthday was next week as well. When our food came, we ate in silence for a few minutes.

"So I was wondering, would you want to come to the birthday party my parents are throwing me?" Sid asked, taking a bite of his steak. His parents? I'd be meeting his parents already? "Of course, can I bring Eli?" I drank some water and he nodded. "Definitely, he can play with the other kids there."
"I can make some food too! I'd be happy to help."
"Aw, that would be great. We're having around 50 people over. So the more food, the better!"
"Sounds fun! Just let me know what you want me to make."
"Of course and you finally get to meet my best friend. He's been bugging me to see you."
"Oh, Geno?"
"Yeah ha, we're really close. Been playing together for years now."
"Aw, that's so nice. I can't wait to see him." I smiled and he grabbed my hand from across the table. "You're so beautiful. I've never felt this way about someone before." Sid took my hand in his, kissing it softly. I was pretty sure that my face was a bright shade of pink by now. I couldn't help but just beam at him. "What do you say, we finish our food and head back to my house?" He growled at me. "That sounds good to me, captain." I seductively whispered to him.

After dinner, we drove to Sidney's lake front house in Cole Harbour. His house was bigger than I could've ever imagined. It was absolutely mind blowing -- to see a house so enormous. We parked in the cobblestone driveway and as I got out of the car, I looked around at the beautiful flowers planted around the yard. "You garden?" I asked, walking over to them. Sid chuckled to himself, walking over to me. "No, my mom planted those." He took my hand in his and led me around the yard to show me everything. He had wooden lounge chairs by the water, a barbecue, a pool and a lounge area. "This view is so peaceful and beautiful." I sat down on one of the wooden lounge chair and admired the lake. The way the full moon reflected on the water was comforting in a way. "It's not as beautiful as you." I managed to get out. Sidney plopped down next to me as I nuzzled my head into his neck, he kissed my forehead and looked out at the lake with me. "I wish I could sit like this forever." I murmured while he played with a strand of my blonde, wavy hair. "I know, this house is my happy place." Sid admitted to me as he smirked.

After 30 minutes, we headed inside to get some ice cream. We were starting to get bug bites. The interior of the house was woodsy and cozy. Olive-green walls with light oak trim. "I'm guessing that your mom decorated this as well." I took a seat on the couch and I heard Sid's roaring laugh from the kitchen. "That would be correct. I have no sense of color and design," He walked in with two bowls of ice cream and two spoons. "One for me and one for my lady." He sat next to me on the couch and handed me the bowl of strawberry ice cream. "Aw, thanks Sid." I picked up my spoon and scooped up the cold pink ice cream covered in sprinkles. "No problem, babe." Sid ate his ice cream and kicked off his shoes. "I love those shoes." I looked at his black matte leather dress shoes that looked brand new. "Yeah, I love them but they're making my feet blister." Sid exposed his red, blistered feet. He winced in pain as he touched them. "That's what new leather shoes do haha." I kissed his cheek quickly and started eating my ice cream again.

After an hour, Sid and I ended up passionately making out on the couch. His lips tasted like strawberry ice cream and were cold on my lips. Sid wrapped his arms around me as our lips moved in sync. "Do you wanna see my room?" He asked in between kisses. "Mhm, of course." I replied, kissing him. In one swift move, he picked me up and brought me up to his room. He dropped me, gently, on his bed. I undid the straps on my heels and kicked them off. I looked at Sid and saw him pulling his polo over his head, exposing his bare, muscular chest. "Can you help me take off my dress?" I asked in a low tone. All he did was nod and unzip the zipper on the side of my dress, leaving me in my undergarments. Sid aggressively tore off his dress pants. Wasting no time, he climbed on top of me and started kissing down my body.

We laid in Sid's king sized bed, cuddled. This was the first time we've been intimate in our relationship. Sidney held me close to his chest and whispered sweet nothings in my ear. "This is so nice," I purred, running my hands through his hair. His forehead glistened with sweat and his eyes looked tired. "Being here with you is all I need." I smiled at him and closed my eyes. "You're all I need." Sid murmured as he shut his eyes. I looked over at the clock. 2:03 AM. I yawned and got comfortable next to Sidney and fell asleep.
