"You're just jealous that i am and always will be better than you," a certain blue eyed boy taunted. "Game on, Bennett." "Game on, Hale."
Have you ever hated someone so much that you couldn't even hear their name without wanting to scream? Cassidy Hale certainly did. She couldn't stand that annoying jerk Hunter Bennett. He not only broke her best friend's heart, but the two used to be best friends. It all changed when they entered middle school. The sweet Hunter started hanging out with the popular kids and got cocky while shy Cassidy became student body president and became independent. The two began competing in everything from grades to sports. When the two's families go to summer together at a ranch in Montana that Cassidy's uncle owns, the two will be forced to spend time together and work together.

"Cassidy? You ready?" my mom asked, peering through my open door.
Nope. Not at all. "Yeah, I guess so.''
She smiled and backed away. I picked up my bags and shut my bedroom door. School just ended last week. My family and I have been going to my uncle's ranch every summer since I was 12. This would be the fourth year and my parents best friends, the Bennetts, are going with us. I love Amy and Jason Bennett, they are awesome. I also love Tia Bennett, their 10 year old daughter who is beyond sweet. However, I do not love their son, Hunter Bennett. The devil himself.
Hunter used to be sweet and we were best friends. Until middle school, that is. He started hanging out with Abigail Layne, my worst enemy, she opened the doors of popularity to him. As his popularity grew, so did his ego.
Freshman year of highschool he began dating Hannah Miller, my best and only friend, he cheated on her with Abigail just three months later and humiliated her at homecoming by publicly going with Abigail, he dumped Hannah during his homecoming king speech.
I never really had friends, I have always been pretty shy. In 7th grade, Hannah transfered to my school and she didn't really know anybody so we just clicked. She helped bring me out of my shell, she was the one to encourage me to run for student body president. Hunter was also running but thought of it more as a joke, so he was angry when kids actually voted for me. That's how we became rivals. I'd get an A on a test, he'd get an A+, I would be soccer captain, he'd be basketball captain, I would win the talent show, he'd win homecoming king. He always had to prove he was better than me.
Now I have to spend an entire summer with him. Lucky me.
I climbed in the backseat of my mom's Range Rover and put my ear buds in. I selected 'Hey Brother' by Avicii and stared out the window. My mom and dad buckled their seatbelts and I did the same. We pulled from the driveway and began our 14 hour drive. I started to doze off. This was most definitely going to be an adventure.
Well..there's that! So should I continue?
