Zarkon and Varkon's Love Story

Lunch scene. ZarVar fic
3rd person P.O.V

     'I can't believe I'm sitting this close to Zarkon!!' Varkon thought to himself as he ate lunch across the table from Zarkon.
'He seems...upset, though. Maybe confused. Did I do something to upset my senpai??'

"Z-Zarkon, you seem upset. Are you ok?" Varkon asks.

"What would I, Zarkon, ruler of planets, be upset about?" Zarkon asks sternly.

"I don't know, I thought I may have done something to upset you." Varkon says lowering his head in shame. 'God, why did I ask that?? Why would Zarkon-senpai think twice about telling me anything.' Varkon thinks to himself.

'He cares about me... he cares about me even when destroy millions of planets, killing thousands of innocent life forms for my own gain. Why is he so nice to someone so mean?!' Zarkon thought while staring at his food again. He was already thinking about Varkon, so him asking didn't help at all.

      A few seconds later, Zarkon finally started eating in silence. The tension was thick, but he didn't bother to do anything about it. They finished their meals and headed back to the exit of the mall. After that conversation Zarkon forgot what he needed, and at this point, didn't care. He needed time to think about this, Varkon, character.

     As Zarkon is about to leave, Varkon asks is he is ok again.

"I'm. Fine. Why do you even care about me anyway! I've killed thousands of people, and destroyed millions of planets! Why would you even want to be around me?!" Zarkon yelled as he lashed out. "I just don't understand why."

"Because you're you. Yes, yes you have destroyed millions of planets, but that makes you so epic!! The fact that you can do that, just, intrigues me! The more and more I think of you, the more and more I want to know you, and learn about you. It's because of all of this, that I care about you Senpai!" Varkon replied with a blush forming from the last sentence. "Because thinking about you makes me happy..."

       Zarkon stared in shock, as a slight blush grew on his face. He can't get two thoughts out of his head. The fact that a grown man called him senpai, or that someone cares for him. Now he really needs to think. 'quiznak...please tell me I don't have feeling for him...that's impossible.'

"I'll be leaving now, but, thank you. I think...I think I needed some encouragement." Zarkon says as he turns and leaves through the exit.

"Y-yeah...of course." Varkon says in shock. His senpai just thanked him. He made his senpai happy. He made Zarkon happy. That's all he could think about as he turned to go back to his office and processed everything that just happened.
