36. Plot Twist and familiar situations

William's P.O.V (😏 y'all thought he was gone)

My head hurts, my body hurts. Everywhere hurts. I sit up and look around the white room. Where am I? Why am I here? Why cant I remember anything except my name?

"Ah, you're awake!" A man in a dark suit approached me. His familiar green eyes stared into mine.

"Who are you? Why can't I remember anything?" He smiled at me and helped me stand up. The shirt I was wearing had multiple rips and bloodstains on it.
"What happened and why am I covered in blood." The man chuckled before explaining that I killed myself. I fiddled with the wedding ring on my finger. It had a 'G' imprinted on the inside making me smile.

"Your memory will come back in time. Your punishment for killing yourself is eternal life as a grim reaper, or shinigami, as some prefer to call us." I nodded my head in understanding and noticed a red handkerchief in his pocket. Looking at the colour made my heart throb, making many questions spring to mind.

Why red?

Why am I reacting like this?

Who or What caused me to kill myself?

The man explained how I would need to go through training and he handed me a pair of glasses, explaining how all reapers are short sighted. I placed them on and lifted my shirt to see multiple scars and lines all over my chest and torso.

Grell's P.O.V

I looked at his body, that lay peacefully in the coffin. Tears streamed down his face. This was our last goodbye. My last chance to see my husband. I kissed him in the head before returning to my seat as the funeral began.

~Time Skip~

I ignored everyone's sympathy and left as soon as the funeral was over. I had just got him back into my life and then he left again. The world is a cruel place.
I grabbed a bottle of vodka and a glass and began to drink my sorrows away. (Every time someone drinks in this story something goes wrong)
I cried as I downed glass after glass, not caring anymore. If people wanted to judge me, let them do it.
All I wanted was William back and I would do anything for it. After finishing the bottle, I grabbed my car keys and stumbled out the front door.
