(My POV)

My daughter, Amanda, and I walked down the streets of our new neighborhood, Maple Bay. It was certainly a small cozy place to be, everybody we encountered were so nice, it seemed really great. Deciding where we would head next, we both agreed on getting coffee at the Coffee Spoon, a coffee shop a few minutes away from our house. Soon we started to smell the pleasant aroma of coffee and pastries as we got closer to the shop.
"... (Y/N)?... (Y/N) (L/N)?"
I quickly turned around, only to see an Asian man standing there with a layer of sweat and music blasting from his head phones. "... Craig? Is that you?" His eyes lit up like 10 million fire flies as he cracked a toothy grin. "Aha! I knew it! Bro I haven't seen you since college!" I couldn't believe that Craig of all people were here at Maple Bay, I just couldn't stop smiling. "Oh man, look at you dude. You've changed so much, you look awesome!"
"Haha yeah! Just a revolution on my body.  You look great too, bro!"
My face glowed a soft tint of red while I smiled to him. "Oh!.. you remember my daughter Amanda, right? She's all grown up now!"
"Oh dang dude, you were so small since the last time I saw you! You look great!"
Amanda smiled and thanked him.
They talked a bit about his kids and his ex wife, Smashley, I mean Ashley, and just had an overall good time talking. Craig looked at the time and checked his heart rate. I looked a bit shocked still that he's in such a great shape now and how proactive he looks with his body. "Bro, I gotta keep up my heart rate. I'll talk to you later though bro, here's my number."
I quickly took my phone out and went into my contacts to add him. "Alright it's 372... 622...5308."
"Alright I got it!"
"Ahh sweet. Well I'll catch you later dude"
I smiled and waved at him as he jogged away disappearing into the horizon.
"I'm freaking out right now, Amanda."
"What's the matter dad?"
My shaking face just creakily looked at her.
"Ugh ew don't do that face!! Haha!!"
"But he's so ripped..."
Amanda just let out a sigh and placed her hand on my shoulder. "Dad... let's get some coffee ya goof."

-

We were just leaving the Coffee Spoon, full of sweets and coffee. Mat, the guy that runs the place, was awesome. The only guy I know so far to make a lot of dad references and jokes. Great guy, I outta come back here soon.  Amanda was on her phone texting some of her friends while I just enjoyed the little walk from the shop to our house. It was incredibly convenient that it was just a few minute walk, but before I knew it, we were already home. I unlocked the door letting Amanda zoom in before I could enter. Before I did walk in however, one of our neighbors, a big masculine redheaded man,  came to say hi.
"Heya neighbor, thought I'd stop by and introduce myself."
"Oh cool, my names (Y/N), and my daughter, Amanda, is inside."
"Nice to meet ya, (Y/N)! I'm Brian, and I live with my 10 year old daughter, Daisy. You should totally come visit us sometime and grab a steak, I make a pretty mean steak if I do say so myself."
"Sounds great! You and Daisy sound terrific! I'll drop by sometime this week, unpacking is a pain in the neck."
We both gave out chuckles and smiled.
"Well I'll catch you on the flip side, (Y/N)! G'night!"
"Good night Brian!"
I closed the door behind me and smiled.
"Geez Amanda, everybody here IS nice. It's a bit odd, huh?"
I yelled across the house and gotten an answer back. "Meeting nice people often wouldn't be so foreign to you if you weren't so antisocial dad!"
Her sassy joking tone made me cringe due to the facts she stated. "Ahh you got me"
We both laughed, then I plopped myself on the couch. I didn't realize that moving would be such a plus, I hated the fact we moved before, but geez, it's a great adventure so far.
I was zoning out and relaxing until I remembered I could text Craig. I took my phone out and texted him.

Me: Hey, Bro! How're you doing?

I waited a couple minutes until I heard a ding coming from my phone.

Craig: Broo! I'm doing well, wbu?
Me: I'm fine, just starting to unpack. What a pain
Craig:  Ahh damn dude, why don't you hang with me tonight. I missed the good ol' days with party master (L/N). Haha!
Me: I don't see why not, let's hang, man!!!
Craig: alright dude, I'll tell you my address
Craig: 35 Clearwater court. Maple bay. Alright see ya soon, come by anytime.

I gotten up, brushed my teeth and put some cologne on and told Amanda I was heading out.
I realized that Craig lived in the same cul-de-sac as me. 'Small world huh?'
I walked up to the door and rang the bell. I heard footsteps approach the door and finally saw Craig himself. "Damn how fast did you get here, we stopped talking like 4 minutes ago, hahaha!"
"Believe it or not, we actually live in the same cul-de-sac!" His face turned a bit shocked then super excited. "Man, this is the coolest thing ever! There isn't any excuses for you not to hang with your old pal!! Come on in!"
We both just laughed as I entered the well kept home. The shoes were organized, the place was spotless. And the smell was just clean in general.
We walked into the living room, and might I add that it was a huge room, and sat on his couch. His 60" tv was really impressive, as well as the matching theme through out the house.
"Whatcha wanna watch? Football, soccer?"
"I'm not sure dude, I don't mind, I like everything."
"Great!" He turned to the cooking channel and just got up and stretched, revealing his well toned v-line.
I watched him the whole time and didn't realize I was staring. He caught me and smiled.
"Haha, like it? Im really invested with my body for the last few years."
I only blushed and and stopped making eye contact, "haha.. it really is something, isn't it.."
"You want something to eat or drink? I've got a ton of shit."
"Yeah, you got anything I could drink?"
".. I got just the thing! You don't mind anything right?"
"You know it babe."
"Babe? Haha! (Y/N) you're so wild, hold up."
He left for a couple minutes but soon came back with a glass full of what seemed to be dark green blended grass. My innocent shocked face grabbed it from his hand and looked into it.
"Don't worry, it looks like shit but it's not bad!"
I trusted him so I didn't hesitate to drink.
My eye literally started to sparkle.
His concerned but curious face looked at me.
"Craig.."
"Uhh. Yeah dude? You didn't like it?.."
"I... LOVED IT!! What is this, it's amazing!!"
Craig's face lit up like the Fourth of July. "It's my own recipe, it's a protein shake! It's really healthy and organic. I'm so happy you like it!"
"Dude you know your shit, I'm really impressed!!"
"Damn, that means a lot coming from you!.. anyway, why don't we ditch the dumb tv and head upstairs? My kids are sleeping, so we gotta be extra quiet."
"W-what for?"
My voice sounded desperate, concerned, but mostly it sounded like my hopes were too high.
"I'm just gonna show you my sick new computer, and my room, Haha, it's not as flashy like it was in college but it's cozy."
"Oh.. haha right!.."
