mark loved the chill of december for two reasons only. one, he got a day away from his loud ass friends since most of them are quite reluctant to go anywhere while it's snowing and two, he got to stay home all day and cuddle the only person that will ever really mean anything to him. and that's where he was now, sitting on his and jinyoung's shared couch in their house with blankets wrapped around them and jinyoung secured close to mark's chest. mark is sure that at this exact moment in time is when he really, truly fell hard in love with jinyoung. with him cuddled up in his arms, reading the latest novel by tommy wallach, and to top it all, jinyoung had the softest smile on his face and as soon as mark caught even a glimpse of said expression is heart lunged off of a cliff into the ever falling void called love. mark was sure he'd been staring at the younger for at least a solid ten minutes now and even though they may be dating staring at someone for ten minutes really isn't socially acceptable. so instead of looking away mark sparked a conversation because he couldn't remember the last time he heard jinyoung's voice today and that just wouldn't do. "jinyoung," his voice was soft and gentle as he placed his head atop of jinyoung's, "what do you want for dinner?" honestly, there were way better questions to ask but mark couldn't be bothered to put effort into anything right now. jinyoung folded the corner of his page to keep his place in the novel before speaking, "since when do you ever cook dinner? unless you're asking what kind of takeout i want and in that case, chinese but you're paying." that same small smile had eventually turned into one warmer and mark couldn't help but feel his heart flutter, "i can actually cook too you know." he said with a sarcastic tone and a small smile. "in your dreams, mark tuan." so maybe jinyoung telling mark he couldn't cook didn't make him deserve an hour and a half of teasing and ticking (mostly tickling if we're being honest) but mark did so anyways. after their little "fight" mark stood up with disheveled hair and his million dollar smile, "mark?" jinyoung received a quiet 'mhm' in response and continued on, "i love you, like a lot, too much if i do say so myself." mark didn't even try to contain his smile as he replied "i love you too jinyoung, more than you can imagine." and with that mark placed a small kiss on the corner of jinyoung's lips and stood from his position on the couch. just as he was about to walk away an all too familiar voice spoke up
"i want you to meet my parents."a/n
