"When are you going to tell her?"

Chris zipped his pants and put on his shirt, "Soon. I promise."

The blonde woman rolled her eyes and sighed, "You've said that for the millionth time, Wood. Why can't you just tell her?"

Chris looked at her, "I can't rush things like that."

He kissed Khate's forehead and gave her a peck, "I'll see you tomorrow, babe. I love you." He left her apartment and went home to his wife and son.

He enters their house and sees a tiny young boy sitting with a piece of paper on the couch, "Hey there, little one."

His son's face lit up the moment he sees his father. He run towards him and hugs his waist. "Daddy!" Chris get down on to his knees so he could talk to his son.

"Hey, buddy. Why aren't you sleeping? It's late. Your mom's gonna be mad." Chris said, "She won't if you'll not tell her." They both chuckled.

"What's this?" Chris pointed to the paper Charles, his son, is holding.

"My teacher let us draw our family." He showed his father his drawing.

Him. Charles. Melissa.

"And you got an A plus for that?!" Chris asked excitedly, "YES!!"

Chris hugged him tight as possible knowing that that 'family' will going to break soon enough.

"Let's put you to sleep. Mom's really going to be mad." He carried Charles up to his bedroom and read stories until he fell asleep.

Chris tucked him in and kissed his forehead. He decided to go to his and Melissa's bedroom.

He found her still awake and reading a book, unbothered that he entered the room so he fake a cough.

Melissa raised her head, "Hi." She smiled.

"I'm going to miss those smiles." Chris thought.

"H-Hey." He sat at the corner of the bed, "Mel?"

"Hmm?"

"Can we talk about something after I take a shower?" Melissa nodded.

For the whole five minute shower, all that Chris thought about was how he's going to tell Melissa that he wants a divorce.

He changed his clothes and walked out of the bathroom. He sat with Melissa who's still reading.

"Can we talk now?" He asked.

Melissa put down her book and took a deep breath, "What is it?"

- Chris' point of view -

"I-I don't know how to say it." My voice starts to shake.

"Yes... Yes, you do." This is harder than I thought. Even though I just got back from the shower, I'm sweating as hell.

"I feel like- we're drifting apart." I begin, "I love you and I care for you, Mel but it feels like were both not happy. It's not the same four years ago. A lot of things changed. You've changed and I also did. I'm here and you're here but- we cannot feel each other anymore. Charles is the only glue between us but we will be happier if we-" Damn it. Why can't I say it?!

"I-If we..."

"If we separated." She continued.
