Infected

Sharpshooter.

Cole sighed as he stared at the mass of slowly moving bodies below him. The dark haired male pulled his double barrel shotgun out and started taking the zombies out, when one caught his eye the boy had beautiful shaggy brown hair and sparkling green eyes. The male looked oddly healthy to be in a hord of zombies, his dark grey sweatshirt and light blue jeans  weren't in tatters and his skin had the normal human glow to it. Cole started shooting the zombies around the boy trying to keep them away from him but they didn't seem that interested in him, this virus had been spreading for about a month now and Cole didn't think anyone had survived it but it seemed this boy had. Cole noticed the boy flintched whenever Cole shot his gun that was interesting, Cole ran down the stairs of the second floor and down to the first floor and out the building leaving behind a very confused Zach.

Cole's pov

I got to the bottom of the building and grabbed one of Zach's axes killing the remaining zombies and getting to the boy, I grab his wrist and drag him inside throwing him roughly to the ground. Zach pulled his gun out and pointed it at the boy seeing what I was trying to do I looked down at the boy and frown "What's your name?" I asked placing my finger on the trigger, the boy slowly stood and looked at me smiling a little "My names Tyler." He mumbled staring into my eyes completely ignoring the gun pointed at him. I tense as he stands and Zach walks twords him a little "Are you bitten?" Zach asked and the boy took a deep breath "No." He said shakily backing up as I slowly walked twords him "Check him." Zach said sharply and I went to grab him. The boy backs up and shakes his head "I'm not bitten." He said harshly and I raised an eyebrow "Then how were you walking with them?" I ask sharply.

Tyler looked between me and Zach then pulled up his sleeves showing bite marks, new and old. I gasp and Zach walks twords him placing his finger on the trigger of his gun and keeping it pointed between the boys eyes "Wait calm down! I can't get infected! These bites are so old." He said quickly then walked twords me, making me press the barrel of my gun against his chest "Stay there." I said pressing the barrel harder against his chest. Tyler nodded and stood still as Zach checked his arms "We'll have to wait for Zoe to get back before we can be sure, take him to confinement while we wait." Zach said and I nodded walking behind him and pressing the barrel of my gun between the boys shoulder blades. Tyler walked willingly as I took him down to the basement of this little apartment complex we live in, I chain him up and stand across from him leaning against the wall close to the door.

For the first ten minutes Tyler was silent just looking around, his hands moved a little behind him but I guess that's just nervous fidgeting. After those ten minutes he finally looks up and tilts his head at me "So your like a sharpshooter right?" He asked and I nodded "I guess." I say crossing my arms and looking at him. The brown hair boy nods and bites his lip then I hear the sound of the chains falling and Tyler slowly stands up, I look at him in shock "W-what? How?" I ask pointing my gun at him and growl softly he looks at me and shakes his head "Calm down sharpshooter." He said calmly rubbing his wrist and walking twords me. I shook my head "How?" I snap and he sighs "I've had a lot of practice." The boy says and smiles softly, and that's when I shoot.
