Chapter 14: Chaos

Leon: (Ran downstairs) Violetta. You're home. What happened to you? Why did you vanish without telling me anything? Did I say something wrong?

Vilu: No Leon, no, no. Calm down. I'll explain everything.

Leon: Where were you the past few days?

Vilu: I... was at my dad's house.

Leon: That's impossible. I called him and even went there a few times but he said you weren't there.

Vilu: I told him to lie for me... I was there. I'm sorry...

Leon: Well why did you leave just like that?

Vilu: I had some thinking to do.

Leon: What thinking huh? To quit your career?! Violetta, have you lost your mind?!

Vilu: I thought about what you said the other day. And you're right. I left you alone with Mason for so long. When you told me you forgot how to love me, I was-

Leon: (Held her) No, no, no, no. Forget about that. I do love you. I love you so much. I love you more than anyone else.

Vilu: I know that. But I also know that I abandoned you. I abandoned my family and my responsibility to be here as a mother and a wife Leon.

Leon: You didn't abandoned-

Vilu: YES I DID Leon. Don't try to change what you said to me to make me feel better. I am aware of my mistake.

Leon: You know what else is a mistake? Quitting your career. How can you possibly do that? Music is your passion Violetta. For as long as I've known you, Music was the one that guided you through everything. It's part of who you are.

Vilu: (Nodded her head) Okay, fair enough. But let me ask you something first. I know you're hurting inside. Tell ME THE TRUTH. Were you hurting inside when I wasn't here?

Leon: (Kept quiet)

Vilu: Don't lie to me. Mason told me everything and I can see it in your eyes. Were you hurting really badly?

Leon: (Looked down) Yes...

Vilu: Were you so lonely every night and everyday and you couldn't stop thinking about me?

Leon: Yes....

Vilu: Was Mason always asking you where I was a lot of times?

Leon: Yes...

Vilu: That made you feel sad because you knew the truth and you didn't know how to tell him right?

Leon: Yes....

Vilu: And weren't you the one who said that you forgot how to love me because I left you all alone here for so long?

Leon: That was-

Vilu: YES or NO?!

Leon: (Sighed) Yes...

Vilu: (Nodded her head) And that is why Violetta Castillo is sacrificing music. I told my publicist to get my picture in a magazine and write that I'm quitting music.

Leon: No Violetta, this isn't right. I don't want to be the cause of you not doing music anymore. Music is your passion. Music is your life. Music is... everything to you.

Vilu: (Shook her head) No it's not.

Leon: (Stunned) What do you mean by that?

Vilu: You are my life. You are everything to me. You and Mason are.

Leon: This is different Violetta.

Vilu: If I can't be here with you and Mason while doing music, I don't want music in my life anymore.
