It was the year nineteen fiftythree
A wonderful time to be alive, honestly. I enjoyed every single bit of it.

It was that year in which I went to my first rock concert. The crowd was filled with many of enthusiastic fans. It was thrilling.

I often came home to the smell of brownies. My best friend was quite the baker. She always had some sort of sweet on the kitchen counter.

Oh how I miss hearing Fern squealing with excitement when I told her I liked something she made. Her face lit up, her smile widened. Because of her, I knew what true friendship was.

I would do nearly anything to see her again. She was a great person. You'd probably love her.

Sometimes I wish I could go back. But then I remember my life would be all too different without you, Alexander.

I'm glad you asked me to write to you about one of the best years I've ever had.

With love, Magnus
