And just like that, it was over.
The heat from my body started drifting away from me, leaving me in a realm of cold and darkness. The pain is gone now. The link I had hooked into life let me go, for I truelly gave up the will to live. I knew I was free now.
But I could still feel it. The slow beating noise of my heart makes me dying, not dead. And those who were dying can still be brought back to the realms of the living. For a sudden brief moment, my last memories sprang back into view, playing over and over again.
The apple.
That beautiful apple, that was in my hands. The very apple that I sunk my teeth into, only to fall onto the ground, dead.
Poison.
Posien was the weapon. A very effective weapon to use is well. What better way to kill your enemies without them suspecting a thing, and knowing that they could die at the click of your fingers.
Enemies.
I had enemies. Of course, it was too late when I found out who they were. But enemies they still were. And when you had enemies, you were never safe.
Who were my enemies?
I thought back to that moment. Who gave me the apple? The figure was blocked by a whole lot of shadows. Her height was slightly taller then me, her frame was small in the waist and she smelt like...
Roses.
Only one person came to mind at the thought of roses. Bright light came to vision. It would of blinded me if it wasn't for the figure peering down at me. My sense of touch is welcomed by the smooth feel of wood under me, unable to move again. Loud breathing sounded in front of me and I guess it was coming from the person looking down me. For awhile, I stared up at her, trying to make out her facial features in the gloom. Her lips were showing a cruel smirk.
Stacia Jane Evern.
My stepmother.
Who just killed me, and the rest of my family.
And just like that, it all started.
(OK I read this before and I loved it. Bit of a snow white thing going on, and those are a bit overused at any moment (thanks Hollywood) but I'm full on willing to work with this at any giving chance.)
