A boy walks down the hall clenching his books tightly. Crowds of people walking around him. He is using his hair to cover his face. His brown hair coving his brown eyes. Another tall boy walks behind him. "Hey Lucas! You got my homework?" Some guy says. Lucas doesn't say anything. The guy grabs his books and looks through them and finds Lucas's homework.

Fast Cut

A girl talks to a boy. She turns her head and sees the tall boy picking on Lucas. "Ugh. They are such jerks." The girl says. The boy looks over at the guys. He gets up. His features are visible. His Blue eyes and Blond hair light up in the light. "Be carful Derrick." The girl says grabbing derricks arm. "I will. Love you Red" Derrick says. "Love you too Derrick."

Camera Following Derrick walking up to the tall boy picking on Lucas.

"Thanks!" The tall boy says. Derrick walks up to him. "Come on man. That's not cool." Derrick says. "Uh it is. I didn't do my homework. So I take his for an Easy A" the tall boy says. Derrick let's out a little chuckle. Then he suddenly punches the boy.

Fast cut to the office

Derrick and Lucas sit in the office. "Thanks again Derrick." Lucas says. "Don't mention it." Derrick says. "You need to man up a bit Lucas. I can't protect you forever." Derrick continues. Lucas just nods. The principals door opens and the tall boy walks out with a black eye. When the boy sees Derrick he speeds up his walk. The principal walks to his doorway. He sighs. "Derrick. It's your turn." The principal says. Derrick walks in and sits in a chair in the principal's office. A name is in engraved in the desk.  Tyler James. "Mr James--" Tyler cuts off Derrick. "Call me Tyler" Tyler says. Derrick nods. "3 weeks until you graduate and you pull this stunt again Derrick?" Tyler asks. "Well I had too. That guy was picking on Lucas." Derrick says. "What happens when you are gone Derrick? Lucas is a Freshmen. When you are gone who will protect him? The answer is no one" Tyler says. "I understand" Derrick says. "Just. Show him to man up." Tyler says. "Yes sir" Derrick responds.  "Now. You have detention Derrick." Tyler says. "I know." Derrick says as he walks out of the office.

"How did it go?" Lucas asks. "I got detention." Derrick says. Lucas stays quiet. "Don't worry." Derrick says. "Lucas. Your mom is here" Tyler says walking out of his office. Lucas nods and walks out of the office leaving Derrick behind. He stops when he sees his step Mom's new Sports car. "So she gets a new car but I can't get a PlayStation?" Lucas mumbles to himself. He opens the car and sits in the Passenger seat next to the drivers. His step mom gives him a angry look. Lucas hears his step sister Hailey behind him. She is being loud. "Hey Lucas! Look how many Oreos I can fit in my mouth!" Hailey says cramming 5 Oreos in her mouth.

Lucas plugs in some head phones and his step mom starts to drive home. When they get home Lucas jumps out of the car and runs to his room. He lays down and turns on the radio. There is static for a second but not much. "Sightings of people eating each other on the streets of LA have become more frequent. For anyone in the LA area please stay indoors!"
