Chapter 4

*Megs POV*

When Mads brought up me being with Ricky, my heart skipped a beat. This shows how lovesick I am. I get excited at the mention of his name. Imagine how I am when I am around him..But he isn't a little crush.. He is my best friend.

Ricky and I have been best friends since kindergarten. I tell him everything.. That is except for that I like, no scratch that. I love him. But having a boy as your best friend comes with a cost. You begin to love him more than that. You want him to be there every single day to love you as his everything. Not just your best friend.

We were inseparable. That was until YouTube became a part of his life. And that is how Ricky met his friend Shelby. He liked her for a while and when he found out she was interested, he was excited. All he could do was plan how he would ask her out. And when he did, she accepted. Now they are the happy couple that everyone loves and adores. They even won best couple in high school. If only I could be with him instead of her. I know him like he has his own section in my brain. But we are never going to love each other that way. Although I wish he would like I do.

I get more upset thinking about it. I just push faster on my penny. We pass by his house and I get excited. I was planning to invite him. I keep on going until I see Ricky and Shelby at his driveway. Kissing. I feel my heart sink and I start to cry but when I look ahead, I crash into a trash can. I rub my head in pain and mads runs over to me to help me up. She goes,

"What happened?!" "You look as if you just saw a ghost!"

"I wish that's what it was..." I say in defeat.

As mads helps me up I fall down instantly, the world turning black right before my eyes.

*Ricky POV*

BAM!

I pulled away from Shelby startled. I look and don't see anything. I shrug and go back to Shelby. Ever since I started to be with her I have never been happier in my life. No one could make me feel more amazing than her.

Everything from her smile to her hair was perfect. I just smile and stare at her for a minute. Being proud of what is mine.

Shelby's head turns sideways, "what are you looking at?" she says with a smirk.

"Just a beautiful angel!" I cheekily remark.

"Seriously?" Shelby laughs

"Yeah so?" I pull her in for one last kiss but my phone rings.

"Hello?"

"Hey Ricky, it's Marissa...."

"Yeah what's up?"

"Meg just got a bad concussion..."

I sat in shock. My best friend? She got one?

"Oh and one more thing."

"Yeah?"

"It's your fault."
