<POV: Scarlett>

I look over the lunch table and catch  Caleb's eye.

I give him the look I give when it's time for my so called "Vampire meal". Or that's what everybody calls it.

I slowly look at his eyes as he looks at mine, and we hold the gaze as he moves across the other side of the  cafeteria, heading towards the jocks.
Then when he reaches his table, I lift my hand and tap my puckered lips while eyeing the door.

Caleb gives a shrug to his friends and a nod to me and then follows me towards the roof.

I reach the door to the roof first and open it with the key that the janitor gave me. You can say I got it from him easy by having the vampire meal with him, though to be honest, it was kind of gross. But it's fine, that was the first day of college, and nobody found out, and he simply got a replacement of keys.

I open the door as the breeze hits me. The fresh, cool breeze in the warm weather is always the best.

Then suddenly Lucas grabs my wrist from behind, drags me through the door, closing the door behind me while slamming me against it.

He's breathing hard, I can tell he is impatient for it.

He slowly nears my face when I stop him and grab for the mints in my pocket.

I open it up, pop one in his mouth and one in mine.

I give it one suck when he pins my wrist above my head with one hand and hurriedly lowers his face to kiss.

He first puts his lips on mine and starts with the basic pecks. Then he opens his mouth and moves his face to the right. That's the direction he always moves his face first as he looks down at my lips. And then we entangle our tongue and mouth. The sound of us kissing surrounds us, and like always, I'm filled with a little tinge of warmth.

After it, we take deep breaths, as Caleb backs away and I lean against the door.

"A little impatient today, aren't you Caleb?"

He shrugs and explains,
"I had a fight with my girlfriend. She just won't listen to me. I tell her I don't like seeing her in short pants, having her hair tied up, having only bra-like shirts on, but she ignores me. That Bitch likes showing her skin off, and it makes me just...ugh! fucking mad."

"Mm..." A controlling guy he is.

"Sorry, but I just needed that... hopefully my girlfriend didn't see me come out with you.."

"Nah, I need it more than you do, and even if she did see you, it won't matter. Everyone knows now that I kiss guys all the time. If things get bad, just text me and I'll explain to her that I'm just a slut and kissed you, no emotions involved. The same old."

"Thanks, I'm gonna go now"

"Yeah, I'll follow up after a little"

Caleb leaves as I move away from the door.

"Yo Scarlett"

I look around to find Lucas on top of the platform above the door.

I don't even know how or when, but Lucas likes to get himself up there, especially during lunch.

"Hey Lucas, did ya eat yet?"

"Yeah, you?"

"Me too"

Lucas then stares down at me from above the door and advices me with a stern face,

"You know Scarlett, you should stop bringing in guys to kiss. Everyone talks...," he hesitates but continues on, "As a friend, I just don't think it's a good idea.. and it doesn't sound right when they all go into a fit about how they're so worried, and you always reassuring them the same old..."

He pauses and presses on,
"They don't know what girls do sometimes, and Scarlett you don't deserve any of the shit they give you"

I look up at him and give a sigh, and without even me expecting it, my voice fails me, cracking a little as I start my sentence, "I am...". I clear my throat and look straight ahead at the blue sky and the view of the town.

"I'm fine Luc, no worries.. I need it more than all of the guys"

I look up to hopefully get a glance of approval but Luc just gives me the serious face again, but this time with mixed emotions. Maybe anger, pity, but whatever it was, it makes me shift under his concerned gaze.

"Ugh Luc, please... I can't help it"

Luc hops off the platform and nods, just like a father or something. He tells me in an understanding tone, "I get ya. I know, after all..."
He glances at me with a smirk,
"You're the rumored kiss addict, and I'm the fight addict."

We both burst our laughing, as Luc adds,
"Truthfully though, kiss addict sounds more legit than a fight addict. Something about it sounds so awkward"

We laugh to the point we have tears in our eyes. "You know Luc. We are kind of crazy," I then add as a side comment, "Not that I hate it, actually I kind of like it, but no other normal human being would laugh at this. Like literally we have these diseases that we are incurable from"

Luc smiles as he looks off into the distance. "Yeah, lunatics, that's what we are."
