I Was Just Helping

After the "Cyber Love" incidence I will admit I was left shaken and paranoid but soon after a few weeks things seemed pretty normal so I completely forgot about it, and moving on with my life. It was just another day at hell and I walking the halls with my best friend Harry, we actually go way back to fifth grade and well how we met is a pretty funny story. Long story short he did a lame presentation on his new website he launched and well my presentation was due in 2 days so my only hope was him. So I faked my way through the friendship but later on we became really close and next thing you see he is fuming over me using him to finish my project. People in class call him the "giraffe" well because he is as tall as one, he got chocolate brown hair and several freckles on his nose which makes him appear innocent but trust me he is anything but innocent.

I mean honestly speaking he is the only decent guy in this school which is practically filled with hungry dogs. He is not a jerk and he actually listens even though he tends to zone out through most of our conversations. We are very free with each other and also exchange crushes one time or another.

"Hey I gotta tell you something but you have to swear not to tell Elena." he looking down. The reason why he specified the "don't tell Elena" because he know's I tell most of the things to her.

"Ya sure." I replied calmly.

"I am serious you can't tell her, like I know you guys are soulmates or whatever but I don't want to make this a big deal and get the rumors started" he responded almost immediately.

"Jeez fine I swear I won't tell her, now tell me what's this serious matter about?" I said mimicking a serious look.

"So you know Jasmine right?" he said. "Like no shit, who doesn't know princess Jasmine, I hope she and Aladdin are living happily together." I said laughing

"I swear, please be serious. You know what I am not telling you!!" he replied rudely.

"OK OK I am sorry, I swear I got my serious mood on. Now tell me about this Jasmine." I said

"Well I like her and I want to ask her out for this Valentines Day, so what I am asking is you to help me to ask her out. Can you do that? Please." he said with a pleading look plastered on his face.

"Hold up, are you serious you like someone! Wow I am so proud of you. I was actually starting to think you're more in to boys which I would totally support you for-"

"Seriously you know I like girls, now will you help me or not?" he said furiously interrupting me

"Dam boy let me finish, yes I will help you."

"Great!-" before he could finish his sentence I replied "But you have to do my 2 weeks worth of math homework without any mistakes, Deal?"

"Are you kidding me?" he said angrily

"Do I look like I am kidding?" I said pointing to my face which has a serious expression on.

"OK fine, deal but only if you successfully get Jasmine to go out with me." he said pointing to me.

"Don't worry Hun, I am a miracle worker and a full-time cupid. Just leave everything to me and start getting you're hands ready for a lot of calculations." with that I waved him goodbye with a smirk.

Today Elena, I and a few friends were supposed to hang out just because it was a good excuse for me to convince Jasmine that Harry is a good guy and mostly to get the plan on the road. I dressed up in a red over-sized shirt with "LOVE" in bold black letter paired with blue denim jeans and my favorite pair of shoes. As my hair was pretty much a mess today I couldn't be bothered to fix it so I topped my look of with a grey Bennie and my glasses (since I am halfway blind without it).

We reached the mall and like always Elena and I went to get Starbucks, because who doesn't like Starbucks? As our order was making it's way towards us Elena said "Hey so...just asking what's going on with you and Harry? Are you guys like dating?"

"No! He's a cool guy that's it, nothing more then that." I replied disgusted with the thought about Harry and I ever being a "thing", he is basically like a brother to me and it's just wrong.

All of us were roaming the mall and I pulled Jasmine aside to get my plan in to action, like I imagined she totally seems in to him.

Next day of school I ran up to Harry on my way to Bio class, "Dude you better start doing my homework cause she really got the hot's for you!" I said excitedly.

"Are you serious! Thank you so much! I love you!" he replied with a tight hug which was crushing my ribs.

"Ya ya I love me too, now go get started on the homework lover boy." with that I walked off to Bio class.

Class was boring as usual and with no Elena (because she is a business student) it was horrible, but I was saved by the bell when I was going to dissect a rat and label it's internal organs. I ran to the cafeteria because that's where Elena and I meet up, but something seemed off. As i reached her she seemed different so I asked her "Dude what's up? Did something happen in econ?"

She shrugged of my question and begin to walk ignoring my presence.

"Dude what the hell! Did I do something? SERIOUSLY TELL ME!" I shouted towards her at the top of my lungs.

"Seriously you couldn't tell me that you and Harry were dating! I wouldn't have said anything. Now that you got a boyfriend means that you stop telling you're best friend everything!" she blurted out and began to storm off.

"I was telling the truth when I said we were just friends, don't you believe me?" I said in disappointment.

"How can I, I heard him say I love you to you and hug you!"

"Oh my god, we are just friends. He just said that because I helped him get Jasmine. He likes her so he asked me to help him out dumb ass. I was just helping him!" I said furiously.

"Oh sorry...hehe...well I gotta go now" she said nervously walking away.

"Wait hold up, I would appreciate an apology and a whole chocolate cake, tomorrow" I said smirking.

She groaned and walked away with an annoyed face which made me happy for the whole day.
