Wizard101 Dads (More of an idea than a story)

Wizard101 is one of my favorite games of all time. As I was playing yesterday, I started thinking. There are seven dads in Dream Daddy, not counting your dadsona, and seven main Schools of Magic in Wizard101. When I discovered these facts, there was only one thing I could do: combine two of my favorite games. Using facts about each school from the Wizard101 website (https://www.wizard101.com/game/magic-lore), I was able to assign all seven dads to a school of magic. These may not be 100% perfect, but I'm satisfied with what I was able to come up with. If anyone has anything they'd like to say about my ideas, feel free to leave a comment about it. Productive criticisms and differing opinions are always welcome; just don't be a major dick.

*They are written in the order of easiest to hardest for me to place.

Damien "Goth Dad" Bloodmarch: Necromancer (School of Death)

The school of Death is all about ending and closure, accepting that everything we know and love will come to an end eventually. Knowing this, Death students try to make the most of their time while alive. On one of his dates with Damien, your dadsona asks him how he's so comfortable with the idea of death while at the same time being unable to sit through a horror movie without losing his sanity. Damien says something about how death isn't avoidable, so fearing it doesn't make any sense. It's not that he necessarily embraces death, but he isn't afraid of it by any means. He just wants to live while he's alive, and for him that seems to be by embracing the culture and lifestyle of the Victorian Era as much as he possibly can.

Craig "Fitness Dad" Cahn: Pyromancer (School of Fire)

The school of Fire is all about passion, being consumed by whatever happens to drive them at the moment. Pyromancers need to be careful, though. If they become too consumed by their passions they could end up burnt, leaving behind nothing but a charred version of their old selves. Craig's very passionate about setting a good example for his family: he constantly works out, has a very healthy diet, and won't go anywhere near alcohol or drugs of any kind. As your dadsona discovers on their third date, Craig's close to burning due to the stress his passion has created for him over the years. After the two let loose during the date, Craig realizes that in order to stop the burn he needs to balance out the fun and serious in his life. Had it not been for that third date, who knows what could've happened to your former college roommate.

Mat "Cool Dad" Sella: Diviner (School of Storm)

The school of Storm is all about creativity. Diviners enjoy the prospects of discovering and creating. Mat is a creative man, if the songs he probably wrote with his wife while they were in a band together and the musical puns he came up with for his beverages at the Coffee Spoon aren't any indication. On the second date with Mat, he reminisces with your dadsona about everything you discover about yourself while you're trying to start up a band with people you love. Even though there were nights they went hungry, he still looks back on those moments fondly. Mat's even ok with his daughter wanting to learn drums during her rebellious phase as it would allow her to discover who she really is.

Joseph "Cool Youth Minister Dad" Christansen: Conjurer (School of Myth)

The school of Myth is all about the power of imagination, the mind, and everything it can create. If you can think it, you can create it. If the imagination becomes too powerful, though, dreams can escape your control and go crazy. I dunno about you, but this made me think of the Margarita Zone. Joseph mentions it quite a bit during his second and third dates, the secret space in the church and his yacht being his personal Margarita Zones, so it would seem that he thinks about it a lot. Being a youth minister, he has to keep his desires under control to set a good example for the people that look up to him. Every once in a while, he allows himself to indulge in the fantasies that lie within his imagination. If those ever get out of hand, though... Who knows what could become of our beloved church dad?

Robert "Bad Dad" Small: Theurgist (School of Life)

The school of Life is all about growth. Theurgists enjoy appreciating the simpler things in life, but sometimes they can come off as flighty or frivolous. Robert is a broken man who honestly just needs a hug. His wife died, his daughter wants nothing to do with him, and someone who he thought loved him only wanted to use him. He knows deep down that he should change, but he's been so content enjoying bar hopping with Mary, sleeping around on occasion, and sleeping the day away. He couldn't seem to find it in himself to start the changing process, and thus everyone kinda stopped taking the man seriously. Once Robert starts growing attached to your dadsona, he finally finds someone who gives him a reason to want to change; someone who takes him seriously and only wants to help him be the man he's always wanted to be.

Hugo "Teacher Dad" Vega: Sorcerer (School of Balance)

Sorcerers call upon elements from all of the other six schools of magic to harness their own powers: passion, patience, imagination, creativity, growth, and closure. The school of Balance is about harmony, finding equality in all things. To a sorcerer, all things deserve consideration and there may be multiple answers to a single question. This type of outlook can make someone seem indecisive and unwilling to pick a side in any given situation. Hugo is very passionate about literature and wrestling, he exhibits great patience with his students and son, he's very imaginative with the creation of his wrestling persona, he has to be willing to get creative to capture his students attention (especially the younger ones), and he probably needs some sort of closure from his ex-husband (their relationship doesn't seem like a good one). When you meet Hugo at the BBQ, he's seen in a heated debate with Mat about which artist period produced better art. Hugo is unable to make a decision, stating how unfair it is to compare two different eras that are valued for their own unique art styles.

Brian "Rival Dad" Harding: Thaumaturge (School of Ice)

The school of Ice is all about persistence and patience. Thaumaturges also exhibit great strength in more ways than one. Brain is a man of many talents, as your dadsona's interactions with him blatantly show. Due to this, your dadsona thinks Brian is constantly trying to one-up you and make you feel like a little shit. At first Brian thinks it's all in good fun, but eventually realizes that your dadsona doesn't seem to be doing anything for fun. Even though he thinks your dadsona hates him, Brian still tries to form a relationship with him. He doesn't see your dadsona's possible hatred for him as anything but a small obstacle that he can overcome. Having a young child prodigy in your home requires a lot of patience. While she may be able to double check your math for your contracting business, she might have trouble understanding how to properly interact with her own peers. Also, have you seen this man? He's definitely got some meat on his bones.
