Hello people!! :) This poem was inspired by a poem that I had to do for my coursework called human interest by Carol Ann Duffy. Hope you like it!

My love, her eyes swell with unshed tears,

My love, his twig lips grimace with every smile,

My love, her strands of hair branch out across her face,

My love, his hair nails of rusted iron and grease,

My love, she laughs to lift me up,

My love, he embraces the pain away,

My love, she loves me and I love her,

My love, he loves me and I love him,

My love, she travels to a distant land,

Her ring a twisted hoop, not as grand,

When the knife slices from my hand,

She stays right here by my side,

Never leaving for another who resides,

Away from my heart and towards the tide.
