Super-Flash: Wrong Girl of Steel!

Mistake or maybe not

My name is Barry Allen and I am the fastest man alive. When I was a child I saw my mother killed by something impossible. My father went to prison for her murder. Then an accident made me the impossible. To the outside world, I'm an ordinary forensic scientist, but secretly I use my speed to fight crime and find others like me. And one day, I'll find who killed my mother and get justice for my father. I am the flash.  

I'm looking down at the monitors in STAR Labs wishing for the hundredth time today that Catlin was here with us and not off finding herself or whatever she is doing. No, I'm not bitter, just lost without her. With her going I see what she did to keep this place running. I wish she would come back. 

"Barry, what you doing?" Cisco asked as he walked into the room with me.

"Trying to understand these," I say as I point at the read out on the computer. 

"Umm... yup no clue," Cisco said with a shrug.

"Thank, I don't know what I would do without you." I tease him.

"Yes I know, but I'll be heading off to see Gypsy for a week, so you best learn to deal without me for a bit." he said and I sigh.

"I guess we're all going to be taking a time off for a bit," I said

"The city has been doing great for a few weeks now, you had to do what two runs yesterday and nothing so far today, face it, Barry, the city is doing well with Kid Flash for now, take a bit of time and relax," Cisco said as he walked out of the room.

I would normally be happy to do some relaxing, but since Iris went and left the city saying she needed to find herself, putting our wedding on hold, if not called off for good. I mean I can't say I blame her, we went through hell the last few months and we lost HR, he died for her. She could not forgive herself for that and has been feeling down... no matter what I did to make her feel better. So she asked for time away and I gave it to her.

Something brought me out of my thoughts a cold chill and a vision, sort of like Cisco's Vibes, but not... I don't know this is a new one on me... I am a speedster not a psychic. But I know what I am seeing and I am not pleased with it. Kara is hurting and needs help. I don't know if this is a trap or anything really, but what I know is I seen Kara being hurt and she needs me. So I'm going.

"Cisco! I'm going to be off the grid for a few days, I'll see you in a week or two." I said and quickly jotted down a note saying I would be out of touch for a time. But I'd be back. Then I flashed to the speed labs and hit the track soon breaching with the speed force. But that's where things go wrong. I guess my mind not being on the right things and only seeking to find her and help her was not clear enough. Because as soon as I come out on the other side I know right away I am not where I wanted to be. Or at the very least I know I am not where I thought I was going. 

I can see men and woman flying around shooting lasers from their eyes at one woman. "Ok, this is not what I was hoping for," I say as I race over to a building for cover and to watch the battle. That's when I see her, the one that seems they are all attacking. And it's Kara! She is fighting other of her own kind, or as best as I can tell they are, and doing well despite being outnumbered ten to one. Well, then I shall say ten to two, now.

I know I can't take someone like Supergirl with a punch. But I also know that despite her invulnerability is limited in ways, she can be knocked out or be winded by huge falls or massive speed hitting her. So let's just hope these clowns have the same vulnerability as well. 

I may not fly but running up walls of buildings was no small feat. So I waited till one of these guys was near a wall and zipped right up to the wall and smashed into his gut with a knee and then sent him smashing into the ground. I do hope he is like Kara or I might have just killed the guy. But I don't spend too long thinking about this as I see my next mark a red headed girl who seemed to be taking joy in hit Kara. So I felt no worries about what I was about to do to her.
