"Come on, you little bitch," Sophia grunted. She sat on a rock out the front of the drop ship, various medical supplies scattered on the ground around her.

"You right there, Soph?" Octavia asked with a chuckle. Her brother sat at her feet, dunking a clean rag in a bowl of water.

"I can't bloody reach." She grunted, her hand extended around to her shoulder blade, trying to clean the large wound she'd gotten the day before. The blood had dried, sticking painfully to the jagged edges of her skin. She needed to get it out to let it heal properly. All it was doing now was causing her more pain each time she moved.

"What the hell was it?" Bellamy asked Octavia as he wiped her wound clean. Octavia grumbled in pain, her leg bouncing up and down as she watched her brother. Sophia couldn't help but watch him, too. The muscles in his arms flexed as he rubbed the cloth over Octavia's leg, making Sophia fight not to bite her lip. His sharp jaw clenched and unclenched as he focused on the task at hand. For the first time in a while, his broad shoulders were relaxed. And yes, Sophia did look at them quite often, especially to imagine running her hands gently over them in private.

"I don't know. The others said it looked like a giant snake. Ask Soph, she got closest to it." Octavia said, turning to look at Sophia with a mischevious grin. Sophia snapped out of her revery, her gaze and thoughts moving from Bellamy's shoulders to his little sister.

"You did?" Bellamy asked, turning to look at Sophia who nodded in response.

"Well, I didn't mean to. Finn bumped me and I fell in the water. But, yeah, definitely a giant sea snake." Bellamy nodded at her shoulder before catching her gaze once again.

"How'd you get that?" He asked, his deep voice sending butterflies through Sophia's stomach.

"It tried to eat me." She blurted. Octavia grunted as Bellamy pulled a fresh rag tight around her thigh. He clapped the sides of her thigh with his hands and stood up.

"All done." He smiled at his sister and pushed the bowl with the wet rag against the bottom of the log she was sitting on. "Let me give you a hand." He said as he walked over to Sophia, who was still struggling to reach around to clean the edge of her wound.

"Oh, no. I can do it." Sophia protested, yelping when her finger dug a little too hard into a particularly sore spot.

"You can't even reach. Here." He said, grabbing the rag from her shaking hand and kneeling down beside her, not taking no for an answer. "Take this off." He said, tugging on her torn jacket. Sophia shared a look with Octavia who wiggled her eyebrows suggestively. Rolling her eyes at the girl, Sophia removed her jacket cautiously, not wanting to aggravate her already very angry wound. A blazing blush rose to her cheeks as she noticed Bellamy watching the jacket slide down her arms. To Sophia, his eyes looked wild, darker than they ever had before."I think you're gonna need stitches." Bellamy said, clearing his throat and keeping his furrowed eyes on her jagged wound.

"I know. I need to find a needle first. Then, I'll get around to it." Bellamy chuckled and brought the wet rag up to her back. She could feel his warm hand on her skin as he moved the strap of her singlet out of the way. A shiver washed over her, making Octavia chuckle.

"Where'd you learn how to sew wounds?" Bellamy asked, focusing intently on her wound. He gently rubbed at the dried blood on the skin around her wound, not daring to venture into the torn flesh that stung a little each time she breathed in. Sophia gulped as she felt his finger brush against the bare skin on her back, a shiver running through her.

"They let me read all about it in medical books and practice on banana skins back on the Ark." Sophia trailed off, realizing how un-cool it was that she'd spent hours reading books about things that go wrong with the body and sewing up banana's that were otherwise completely fine.
