FEW MINUTES LATER.The service was an anointed one, I thought to myself.
"I'll be glad if we get to see tomorrow again," Lucy said to me as we walked out of the church.
"I will be here on time by tomorrow. I also want you to be here as well, and on time." She chuckled because she knew she can't always be on time.
"If I don't make it on time, book a seat for me, okay?" She wore a pitiful face.
That worked on me, I must say. "I will, but make sure you're not too late, okay?"
"Understood." She laughed.
"You wanted to ask something yesterday. What was it?" I reminded her.
"Yes. Do you perhaps know any app I can read epic stories?" She asked.
"Of course. Wattpad is really great, you can read other people's published stories and share your story to be read by others too."
"That sounds fun. Any other app you want to share?" She asked.
"Anybooks. It's a great app, though Wattpad is superior but it has great stories too."
"Once I grab hold of my phone, I'll get both from the appstore."
"Mummy, I couldn't make it yesterday because I came back quite late last night from work," my mom said to the pastor's wife, Mrs Trisha as we walked closer to where they were standing.
"Your daughter, what's her name again....hmmm...yes I remember, Ana told me you were not back as at the time they left," Mrs. Trisha replied.
"I had to call them to go ahead without me because I knew I was bound to be late," she said.
"It's okay. At least you made it today." They both laughed.
"This one that they are laughing their eyes out, I'm very sure they will take the whole night talking." Lucy chuckled.
I couldn't help but let out a laugh at her statement.
"How did you know that it will take ages before their conversation will eventually come to an end?" I asked, giving her that hilarious look.
"Cause both of them are like 5/6." She continued laughing.
As for me the night was just perfect, more than what I expected.
I bid goodbye to Lucy and headed to the car. Suddenly I mistakenly bumped into a guy who happens to be the same guy Lucy was with, the one I had suspected to be her brother. Yes, I can still remember her calling him Derek.
"Hey, what the heck! Watch where you're going, girl!" He yelled, breaking my thoughts.
"Oops, I'm so sorry I wasn't watching." I apologized.
"Next time be more careful young lady," he answered so rudely and walked away.
God, he is so rude and arrogant, I said under my breath.
He couldn't even take the apology and reply responsibly, I smirked.
Right from that moment I hated him so much because of the statement he made.
Pastor's son or not, he has no manners and I'm not gonna mingle with people with awful characters, I said angrily to myself as I sat in the back seat of the car.
After a minute or so, my parents finally came into the car and we left.
All through the night I was just thinking about him even when I tried so hard to forget about him as well as the incident that took place that night.
He was still on my mind which got me thinking why I'm still thinking about the same person I just #tagged with hatred. I didn't even realize till I fell asleep thinking about some stranger.
